FE3: from my observation based on the first 7 chapters of book 1, the archers vs flyers bonus is Attk + 12. The attack is normal, you still have a chance of pulling a critical hit with the damage bonus. There is no bonus to critical rate. I have not confirmed the formula with promoted archers though.

According to www.pegasusknight.com/mb/fe3/dt_form.htmlEffective weapons work the same way as FE6: Strength + Weapon Mt*3

I see............thats good to know. Except Lyn with Sol KAtti is glowing against dragon but it doesn't deal much damage. I guess Durandal and Armads are Extra-Super effective

I see............thats good to know. Except Lyn with Sol KAtti is glowing against dragon but it doesn't deal much damage. I guess Durandal and Armads are Extra-Super effective In fact, Sol Katti has mt 12, Durandal 17, and Armads 18. Since the wpn mt is doubled when supereffective, from start the Durandal will cause 10 damage more than Sol Katti, for example. Moreover, Eliwood and Hector are usually stronger than Lyn. In my second game: Lyn (STR 21, Sol Katti): attack 33 (12+21), damage 5 (x2). [(12x2) +21] -40 = [24+21] -40 = 5. Perfect. Eliwood (STR 22+5, Durandal): attack 44 (27+17), damage 21. [(17x2) +27] - 40 = [34+27]-40 = 61-40 = 21. Perfect. Hector (STR 23, Armads): attack 41 (23+18), damage 19. [(18x2) + 23] - 40 = [36+23] - 40 = 59 - 40 = 19. Also perfect. So, no extra-supereffectiveness here.

All holy weapons are (except Holy Maiden - but it's a staff, and it isn't in FE7, so meh). Aureola is one of them. As are Forblaze, Durandal and Almads.
In the japanese FE7, Aureola is truly Super-extra effective against the dragon, in fact.
Athos (MGC 30, Aureola): Atk 45 (30+15). Damage against the dragon: 35.
Which is [(15x3)+30] - 40.

Simple. Instead of being super-extra effective (3x wpn mt), it's just extra-effective (2x wpn mt) in the english version.

We would lose to the Japanese kids just for that one reason.
