You tend to get dragged into fights on the rare occasions that you're not already in the fray. ;D

Final Fantasy is the greatest game series in my opinion, and for the soundtracks. It has been known not only by gamers, but also in music circles. Some non-gamers have been listening to Final Fantasy music. Nobuo Uematsu is the king of video game music, not Yasunori Mitsuda or Noriyuki Iwadare. I listen to Final Fantasy music daily and when I am on vacation or on the road. I just cannot get enough of that Final Fantasy music.

In your opinion.
Personally, I think if you want the best game soundtrack ever, you're better off with any of the Bemani games. Dance Dance Revolution rocks my socks. ;D
As for the best RPG soundtrack ever, I'm inclined to go with Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. Although I freely admit that I'm biased towards it because of all the oboe solos. *pets her instrument*

Hell yes, I like Pop'n Music for PS2.
...because I don't have DDR.
As for game...I like Anubis: Zone of the Enders, mainly because of Maki Kimura singing Beyond the Bounds.

Oboes just don't get enough respect sometimes and it's nice to hear one put in a prominent position in a game's music.

What about Koji Kondo? He's awesome too! Oboes are so cool. ^^ I also love xylophones and a nice techno beat. What would happen if the three of them combined for a song? ? XD

Well, I imagine the reason oboes don't get much respect is because let's face it...the majority of us have suck-ass tone. (Yep, I'm including myself in that statement. ^^;; )

My tone varies from day to day...but it's bad far more often than I'd like.

XD Yessss....Koji Kondo does some good stuff. Adilink, you should go check out the orchestrations at the jukebox in www.gdtree.com if you haven't already. There are so many great video game music composers out there that I can't decide which one is my favorite. This may be a bit off-topic but shouldn't get too bad. I saw the original soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts the other day but I wasn't sure whether it's worth buying or not cause I've never played the game. I'd like to here other's opinions about it. Alright back to FF. My overall favorite FF game is definitly FF7. The FF game that got me into the FF series is FF5 actually. If only FF5 had a better story then I'd probably like it more than FF7. About FFCC...well...it's only fun if you got friends over to team up with. When playing alone I'm pretty much just enjoying the scenery. Square-Enix is focusing way too much on the eye-candy stuff in FF games recently.
