I like Gamecube because of Super Smash Melee. I like Playstation 2 because of the RPG/Strategy games. I just HATE the X Box.

Every system has its own good and bad points. I really hope this thread doesn't turn into a fanboy bashfest...the best one just depends on what kind of games you want, whether online connectivity is important to you, and so forth.
But since I'm a big fan of Dynasty Warriors, DDR, and various RPGs, I'm a PS2 girl. Although if I had enough money, I'd happily buy all three systems and never have to worry about what's coming to which platform again.

I love my Gamecube! I've always loved Nintendo and if Fire Emblem goes to a console it will definitely be the Gamecube. Gamecube just has excellent graphics. Sure it may not have the internet connection capabilities that PS2 and X-Box have it is still an awesome system. Also while on this topic the X-Box just sucks! The controllers are too big and aren't comfortable what so ever in my hands. Gamecube controllers on the other hand are actually quite comfortable.

I've been a Nintendo fan since I was but a tiny lord. Plus, it's the most portable of the three (X-Box has to be the LEAST portable XD), has a wireless controller (the other two might, but it isn't as widely known), and has the fastest loading times. But in all honesty, the only bad thing I see is that the memory card 56s just don't cut it. =( I won't even get into online gameplay, simply because I don't care about it... so =P I also own a PS2 because of Dynasty Warriors and a few other games, but that's about it. As for X-Box... =P

The controllers are too big and aren't comfortable what so ever in my hands. Gamecube controllers on the other hand are actually quite comfortable. GameCube controllers may work for some things, but I don't like the different sized A and B buttons. For a game like, say, Soul Calibur II, I just don't think that feels right. I don't like the Xbox controllers either, but when the system debuted in Japan, a smaller, more streamlined controller was also developed, and I believe that is available for purchase in the States as well now, so the big controllers aren't really an issue anymore. (Although I know a few guys who actually prefer them. Crazy people with their huge hands. *grin*) I find a good old Dual Shock 2 to be the most comfortable controller of all, but it's all a matter of what you're used to.

The A and B buttons are what I like most about the gamecube controller. You are less likely to press the wrong button, because you can tell which is which by feel.

The only bad thing about the GCN controller is that my B Buttons sometimes stick after using it for a while. I will say though... the controllers are really comfy. And Wavebirds are saviors when you have multiple people playing... no more tangled cords! =D
The PS2 Controller is nice once you get used to it... at first, I was like "Triangle...? *looks at controller* Oh... there it is! *presses triangle*". I find letters much easier to memorize than shapes... which is why I generally get the hang of Nintendo controllers faster than any others. =0
Since we're still on the topic of controllers... did you know that out of the three, Nintendo has the most original controller? I mean... the Playstation was originally supposed to be an SNES CD add on. Just look at the controller once... take an SNES controller, change A, B, Y, and X to the shapes, change the shape of the Start and Select button, add more erganomics to it, and add one more R and one more L button, and you have a PS controller. As for X-Box... I read once that they stole the design from the Dreamcast controller intentionally, since "people liked it best" or something like that.

B is smaller than A, and they're both different colors. I also like the gamecube controller's control stick. It's very easy to go diagonal in 3D games, and quite comfy. The PS2 controller only has up, down, left, and right. It does have the analog, but I find that to sensitive. Another great thing about the gamecube is that you can buy a game player. (Which allow's you to play GBA games).

...I've never pressed the wrong button on a Dual Shock, despite the fact that they're all the same size. If you know where the buttons are, it's a nonissue.

Just a word of warning to you guys, don't turn this into some huge console flame war ok? You can talk about your favorite console but don't bad mouth other consoles either. Anyway it's GC for me. The problem I have with the PSX and PS2 controller is the control pad are buttons rather than a regular control pad. Play Street Fighter on that sucker and your thumb will start to hurt like hell.

The GCN control pad hurt my thumb when I was playing Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance because it was so small. >.<;; I actually kinda like the button thing on the PS controller... *shrugs* that's just me though. The control stick on the GCN is definately better than the PS analog though IMO.

Gamecube all the way!!!!! ;D
I really like the size and placement of the A and B buttons, and I've always been a Nintendo fanboy. But I'm not gonna go dissing on PS2 and Xbox. After about 6 hours of playing Halo, that huge pad gets real comfortable. And for the PS2 controllers...I like the feel of double L and R buttons.

Gamecube is cool, followed by the PS2. X-box has Halo and tons of online games, but it just never appealed to me.
Fanboys are hilarious to listen to, myself included.

PS2 is the best because it has the best games out of all the systems, Gamecube is good too and has a decent selection of games, and X-Box blows major ass especially game wise except for Ninja Gaiden and Shenmue 2

Gamecube all the way, the graphics are much better than the PS2 and the Xbox combined.
