..................Given the chance?
Probably. =P
Torn clothes would be a bit hard. For all I know, Finn didn't bring an archeological survey team with him. =P Horse bones and dragon bones can be confusing...a lot of things died in the Yied desert. It doesn't necessarily have to be Cuan's troops. And looking for the crest of Lenster in the desert is..............well, can you imagine the scale? It's like searching for one single fish in the Pacific Ocean.
And I still don't think Finn would've gone looking for Cuan's remains or belonging without telling Leaf.

Well for all we know Finn could have perished in the desert anyway.......
What? He could have....

He didn't. They said he went for three years, which would mean he did returned...

Unfortunately we have no clue whether he found what he was looking for during those 3 years. Maybe Lachesis was dead by the time the war's over, or maybe the writter just decided to be a jerk and not tell us.

I can think of a few options
1) She's dead. 2) She's alive, but where she lives is damn well hidden. Didn't Manfroy say the Loptous villages are scattered there, hidden for hundreds of years? If the entire might of Grandbell couldn't find them, Finn probably couldn't. 3) He found her, but for some reason, she didn't come with him. 4) He found her and brought her back, but they decided to keep it quiet and thus the ending/history totally missed the fact. 5) The scriptwriter is a jerk.
Personally, my money goes to #5.

Maybe Lachesis lost her memory when Fin finally found her so when he brought her back no one knew who she was.
