First off, please forgive me if this post offends anyone-that's not my intention, I'm just wondering about something.
In the last stage of FE5, there are 6 rooms and you have to put a unit in the middle of each room to open up the last boss' room. Now, here's my question: Is it just me, or is there a symbol in each of those rooms that looks suspiciously like the 6-pointed Star of David? Again, maybe it's just me, but the symbols in the last stage look strangely like the Jewish 6 pointed star. Also, sometimes I see it during the teleportation animations and stuff. Has anyone else noticed this?

No, that's a pentagram. It only has 5 lines, the Hexagram has 6. It's a symbol used for chaos and various ethereal rituals, or something akin to that. It's used because of its mystique symbolism, I assume.

I find it funny that there are 6 rooms, now that you point that out.

Interesting, I always thought Nintendo wouldn't use religious symbols.

Nintendo uses plenty of religious symbols in their games. It's NOA that censors it.

The six-pointed star isn't necessarily the Magein David. Many games and shows use it as the standard mystical symbol.

Hmmm...interesting, so I guess that in the context it was used, the six-pointed star is just a magic symbol in FE, I s'pose...however, I'm just wondering about this, and please forgive my ignorance, but NoBaka, what is the proper Star of David that's actually a religious emblem? I always thought it was any six-pointed star, so if the six-pointed stars in FE5 are just mystical symbols, is there anything special about the Star of David that distinguishes it from normal hexagrams?

Yet did you know that the year Celice rebelled was the year 777? I'm assuming it's 777 because Leaf rebelled one year early in 776. Don't you just love number play.

Please forgive my most horrendous ignorance, TerranigmaFreak, but may I ask if the number 777 has any special signifigance?

Yeah, 7 is a lucky number to people. Three 7s mean JACKPOT! Actually I think 777 has some religious meaning too but I forgot what. I'm not very good at religious stuff.

777 is the sign of Jesus or something. It is usually assoiated with good as compared to 666 which is evil. Just superstition if you ask me.

Yeah that's what I mean about 777. It's just superstition but it's still a fun tidbit to point out.

Isn't 777 supposed to be some kinda luck thingy? Oh, and the six pointed star is usually considered to be the Star of David (or the Shield of David). Well, if you're Jewish anyway.

When the Anti-christ comes to take over the world and enslave everyone he will have the number 666 on his forehead. He will also force everyone to have that number put on there heads. If they refuse they will be put to death. For this reason the number 666 is known as the mark of the beast.
7 is a "holy" number. There are supposed to be 2 numbers that are considered better then others. 3 is supposed to be the perfect number and I believe 7 is the holy number. Don't ask why it's really just because God said so.
Now as for censorship. There are alot of christian and other religious symbols in Japanese games but they are often taken out of the US versions. For instance there was a cross on the hospitals in Mother 2. But in the US version known as Earthbound the crosses were taken out.
Disclaimer: the stuff in this post is what I remember from the bible. Whenever I actually read it I read the new king james version.
