Elite mode is a code. Code is cheating. It all depends on your definition of the word. I don't think it's cheating, because it's still within the boundaries of the game. It's just like that huge 'Legit vs Hacker' thing that goes on in the Phantasy Star Online community. But that's another story.

I don't see the elite mode as cheating, unless it originally was not intended to be in the game. Normally I don't consider anything that can be done in the game without external devices cheating, unless it's a glitch that was obviously not intended to be in the game. that on 2st playthrough, where i killed of olwwen so i can go the other path. first playthrough i had no idea what elile mode was and managed to get lucky on some of my units stats adn used it like should.to beat the hell out of people You don't have to kill Owen to get the other route, you only have to kill her to get Eyrios, IMO Owen's better anyway. They have the exact same stat growth and similar end stats but Owen gets two personal weapons (both giving consecutive hits), while Eyrios gets nothing.

Eyrios gets the Skill scroll for Sunlight Hit, anyone can use it, and you can just steal it from him anyway.

He's got Inori and Taiyouken, as well as "A" rank in swords and thunder and a spare Taiyouken manual. Not bad.

He's got Inori and Taiyouken, as well as "A" rank in swords and thunder and a spare Taiyouken manual. Not bad. Owen starts with B rank in Thunder but is only 20 weapon exp away from level A. She doesn't really need A rank in swords since she has her personal sword anyway. And she starts with level C in swords so you could still give her the Killer Sword. The Sun Hit skill isn't all that useful to me because I'll never be relying on it for a character to survive, but it's a plus for Eyrios, I'll give him that. Owen's personal sword gives her Prayer too. I'm not saying Eyrois is a bad character, just that I don't see any reason to take him over Owen.

just that I don't see any reason to take him over Owen. Seriously? Nor do I. I just say he's not bad, but I've never actually recruited him. I don't like killing my characters, and I prefer to get a Gekkouken manual in the other route, after all. Gekkouken rules.

If you recruited him, the thread is absolutely free to go off-topic.
Welcome to FESS.

Eyrios is fun to use...
In my experiences, his statistics usually end up higher than those of Oruen. Maybe it's just because his stats start out higher? She's got two personal weapons, though-- which is a definite plus, but he has some pretty nice skills on him...
I like mixing them up whenever I play. I always use one or the other, simply cause I like how they work.
