This may be stupid but this question keps poping in my head.
How do books run out of use.
There not like a sword when you use it 40 times,it breaks.

I suppose the pages of a tome get worn out after fire pops out it 40 times.

Actually, if you ever saw the Fire Emblem anime, you might actually understand it. When Garnef used his spell, the pages from the book flies out and attacks the enemy. That might explain it.

So pages fly out and attack, then comes the fire?

Maybe the magic energy inside the book, when used as a spell, is realized into the open, and disperses. Just a thought.

exactly u read it off the book. or course what if they could just memorize the spell and use it at anytime without the book? and how would the book break?

They definitely say something...
One would assume that the words disappear as they read them, or something...

Canas is a scholar, he probably is aghast that anyone cannot read, I bet he considers it his duty to teach Nino to read. He also probably wants to pass on his love of the printed word to others. In fact in the Canas/Nino C support he explains why he'll teach her... NINO: But...look, I'm sorry... I can't actually... I don't know how to read. Nobody ever taught me letters. CANAS: Oh...I see. Well, then why don't I teach you? NINO: Really?! But...won't it interrupt your studying? CANAS: Of course not. You see, teaching illuminates the minds of both master and student... I will teach you everything I can! NINO: Yaay! (Support taken from db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/fire_emblem_char_support.txt )

FYI: GameFAQs breaks the links when you link directly to the FAQs.

I thought that was its B support. The only thing I found is that Canas's mother is Niime and Canas's mother's sister is Iris who is Ninos dead mom so there Uncles or something.
