i think wallace is the best general. if you play lyns hard mode and dont use the class change item then take wallace to 20 then change him then take him to 20 again ......holy crap he is amazing. no doubt that jaffar looks cool but becasue he starts off as an assasin mathew i found better once i changed him at 20. i made legult and mathew an assasin in the same file and had them practice with the same wepons and mathew slaughtered him. each one had the iron rune on but without it mathews chances of critical was still higher.

I find Oswin and Matthew to be the best.

I've trained Matthew and my brother Legault. Overall, Matthew was better, but it's hard to hit a Legault with 30 speed and 29 luck...

Oswin overall has better growth rates than Wallace. I may like Wallaces personality better though...But Wallace does have some luck to him.

As for assassins, I just take what I can get. So similar, very little difference.

Oswin could not only beat up, fatal wound, but annihalte Wallace... if he wasn't such a good guy.

Legault, hands down, is the best. Matthew is the speedy thief, Jaffar is the already promoted character, which means that the chance of him besting his collegaues is 1 to 100. Legault is good all around, and is a worthy fighter.

I would only promote a thief after whatever chapter you don't need a thief anymore.

I'll say Legault and Oswin, because Legault gets better skill, a stat that is necessary (sp? hitsuyoo why can I spell it in japanese but not in english?) for assassins.

I would have to say Legault and Wallace because they both own in my game, and Matthew is definitely better off as a thief.

I like Wallace, you get him first and I want to take an axe and make it stuck in his giant shiny head. As for asassins matthew is my favorite.

Well...I hate Wallace. :D I'd have to go with Oswin with that one, because not only is he better, but he's also awesome. Plus I'm a bit of an OswinxSerra fan. ^^;

As far as the assassins go...while assassins are an awesome class, I'd rather leave Matthew and Legault as theives. Stealing > 1HKOs always always forever. However, I don't use Matthew, Legault OR Jaffar all too much (unless I'm getting supports), so it doesn't matter to me. :P

Well by the time you can even promote them to an Assassin, there isn't really anything left to Steal. Assassin can still use Lockpicks to get the treasures.
