I gave up Jehovah's Witnesses for video games, and because the religion is Menconiite and too controversial. I vehemently oppose Menconiite religious organizations, that are, religious organizations that place restrictions on video games. My brother and I love Metroid Prime, and I love the Final Fantasy series especially Final Fantasy X more than anything. I despise divine and romantic relationship. Al Menconi also has a review on SimCity 3000, my second favorite game reviewed by him. There are some reviewed by him that I do not like, which are Grand Theft Auto games. Let us cease all Al Menconi discussion like NoBaka said. Let us go back on topic with the first post. Let us go to discussing Final Fantasy, but in a positive way. Please do not post anything religiously restrictive about Final Fantasy, my favorite game series. Final Fantasy is my favorite game series, especially for the soundtrack. It is best known for music, with the overseas fame of Nobuo Uematsu. I was introduced to Final Fantasy on the SNES with Final Fantasy IV back when I was in high school in 1995. Final Fantasy is so addictive. I got hooked on every Final Fantasy game I have played. Final Fantasy games can keep me up all night. You are not only crazy, but sort of creepy. I am considered to be incredibly obsessed with video games, and I think you went too far. I'm not religious and I don't think much of Jehovah's Witnesses, but that's not a good reason to give up your religion. And seriously, I think you're starting to repeat yourself. |

I have given up religion for several other reasons. Jehovah's Witnesses do not love me. They are predatory to me. A lot of their teachings are contrary to my opinions and influenced me to be a sexist. They are indeed a dangerous and demeaning cult and very controversial religion. They are a mindbending organization. Also, I am antireligious. Many other people consider Jehovah's Witnesses overly restrictive. I am afraid to call my JW parents and siblings family. You need to cease posting that JW stuff on this thread and post about Final Fantasy. You should not complain about me giving up religion for video games. I have an incredible affinity toward the Final Fantasy series, and I am obviously no spammer. One great reason why I am incredibly obsessed with Final Fantasy is because its name came from Squaresoft's battle against bankruptcy. That is one reason why it is my favorite game series. Another reason is that Final Fantasy considered by most gamers to have the best soundtrack of any video game series. |

I don't see how Jehovah's Witnesses are dangerous. I think they're a little odd, sure. Gets kind of annoying to have people ring on your doorbell and try to convert you (I feel that religion is personal and people should keep it that way). But as long as they're not going out and killing people, how is their thinking differently dangerous?
And as for that last bit...family should mean more than that. My parents didn't disown me for becoming an atheist. My brother does all kinds of things I find objectionable, but none of that will ever change the fact that he's my brother and I love him. Difference of beliefs shouldn't be something that rips families apart, although it seems to happen far too often in today's society.
Um...this is a web forum, hon. People post what they think of what other people have already posted, and as long as they're staying within the limits set by the board (i.e. don't be a dumbass), you can't control what they say. It's freedom of speech. The conversation went off in a different direction. It happens all the time. I mean, I've seen a request for recommendations on healthy snacks turn into a debate in which a vegetarian compared people who eat meat to Nazis (not on this forum, by the way). Threads in web forums, by their very nature, tend to wander. If you want to steer the point back to where it used to be, make a good thought-provoking post about the original topic and see if people take the bait.
People define spam differently. I think that constantly repeating yourself and telling everyone things we already know is spam. Obviously you don't agree.
Why's the name enough to make it your favorite? (This is not sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious about that.) As for the soundtrack...eh, it's good, but I know a lot of people who rate Mitsuda's work over Uematsu's. And I personally think Iwadare is the most underrated game composer out there.

Bill Clinton was at my brother's commencement. After hearing what he had to say to all of us, I honestly have to agree with you. Going on... Tedious, I think you take too much personally. And we get the point that you like Final Fantasy and it's music. I don't go saying that the Legend of Zelda rules in every post, and Iris sure doesn't post how much she likes Dynasty Warriors all the time. Not only that, but why are you judging a whole religion based on the teachings of one denomination? That's almost a sort of racism. If you look at various Muslims in the world, you see terrorists who've killed numerous innocent people, but does that mean that I, or any other Muslim, am a terrorist? I sure hope to God not. Lastly, I personally think that frequently repeating the same thing (sometimes even in the same post), as well as stating the obvious is Spam. And I think quite a few of us would agree. *points to the Craziness Domain*. There's a topic there called "State the Obvious." You'd feel right at home. |
