Doh, too late now. Wimpy prince? Justice Shield is the best! Nothing special about Gilder's abilities.

Gilder is cooler, but I find Enrique more useful in battle. Maybe it's because I leveled him up more.

Enrique's an invaluable character.... He's actually the second-best magic user in the party (can't top Fina, of course) and a stronger attacker/defender than Aika. If anybody sucks, it's her, because the only thing she has going for her is speed. I actually prefer to use Enrique durring Soltis so he can defend my party from Silver Eclipse/Silver Tundra while Vyse kicks the snot outta the bad guy.

I find Aika useful sometimes because if you need to cast a spell quickly, she goes first a lot. And lambda burst = flaming death for random encounters. I found the magic sort of weak in this game. After the beginning of the game I stopped using all the offensive magic because I was doing as much as or less damage than with physical attacks. If I want to kill a boss I'll use Pirate's Wrath or Prophecy.

I don't have enough SP to start off with rain of swords...do I? Hmm...I don't think I do.

No, it takes a loooooonnnnng time to start out with enough SP to use Rain of Swords right off the bat. I think all my characters were level +56 before that happened. Good for nabbing Loopers, but that's about it. I've always used magic, at least the fire magic, because it hits all enemies and generally is stronger than Aika's S-moves. It's definitely a better form of attacking for Fina, until you get Final Cupil.
