My custom officers in Dynasty Warriors are named for generic officers who I wished were playable. Like Cao Pi. *pets Cao Pi* evil arrogant bastard... <3 Cao Pi......that's a real funny name if you know how to speak chinese. Sounds a lot like what you would say to a real noisy guy. I usually name my characters after other characters from other games. In jap games I'd give characters their english names. So in dialogues you'll a whole lot of jap text and then suddennly english words (which are the names) would come up. |

Hehehe ah so it seems you guys caught where Ark came from heh? Don't forget, Ark is only 3 letters and I really don't like to write long names. I like Will as well but Will is 4 letters.

talk about naming....i recently name the hero in Sword of Mana Tea.....making some serious parts of the game.....not so serious......

Oh, my friend and I were messing with Earthbound one time. At the beginning, it asks you for your favorite thing, with then becomes your most powerful attack. So for fun, we named it "Rape."
"Ness uses PSI Rape!"
Also, two of my friends were making weird names in Perfect Dark's MP. Our names were, "your mom," "some ho?!" and "syphillis."
"You were killed by some ho?!"
"Killed your mom"
"You were killed by syphillis"

So for fun, we named it "Rape." ^ I always wanted to do that =D I have this odd nitpickiness to keep character's default names if they're available (FF7, Super Mario RPG, and Earthbound just to name some  ;; ). If there's an option for custom characters, I like to take characters from previous games (like Fu Xi and Nu Wa in DW4). Also, two of my friends were making weird names in Perfect Dark's MP. Our names were, "your mom," "some ho?!" and "syphillis." "You were killed by some ho?!" "Killed your mom" "You were killed by syphillis" ^ You know... I think I had that thought once. Maybe not exactly those, but something like it at least... odd coincidence eh? Those are great though XD One thing I'd like to try once is naming a character " dammit!" It's so universal... we often used to joke about how funny it'd be to name a dog that... "Come here, Dammit!" Going back to A Link to the Past, it'd be pretty funny seeing Link's uncle say: " Dammit... I have to go..." Not quite as funny as "oh shit," but still good enough =D |

I was talking to Sir Auron today and he said somebody on FFXI named themselves "Taimaishu" or something like that. If you break it up and pronounce it right, you'll get the pun in there ; )

We just use lame stuff like OMFG, HAX0R and some other dumb names I can't remember.
The first time I made my stepdad play Chrono Trigger, he was just like an immature 14 year old. He named Chrono 'FAGOT' or something like that, and Marle 'HO'. =P
