oh yeah...with teh help of Jaffar from FEF I'm working on getting the frames of a complete Catastrophe summon. and then animating all 900 or so frames. but with that comes the issue of space...it'd probably be way too big....

It's no fun getting into a topic late...

Actually, it makes it even worse if you try to do the battle arena on a new game plus. Reasons are:

1. You start off with weak equipment. Although you do start off with the basic class psynergies, it is weak. Retaining your high level doesn't help, as the enemy is just as high as level as you, with an increase of 150% in every stat.

2. ONE DJINN. That is not good. No access to the most needed classes (Pure Mage, Chaos Lord, War Adept).

3. No mass healing. Potent Cure heals 300HP on one person, and that is no where near enough to handle more than one powerful monster. And no Revive as well...

So never try to attempt a high Battle record by thinking that if you use New Game +, then the levels will make you superior to the weak enemies at the beginning of the game...unless you wanna get your ass kicked by a Dirge.

Iris is weaker than Catastrophe. Plus, it uses up way too many Djinn. The fact that Iris is Mars Elemental, makes it ever so slightly worser again, since the majority of enemies in the game are weak against Jupiter, which Catastrophe's element conicidently is.

Isaac=Felix. Personal preference. Felix has higher HP, attack and defence stat growth, while Isaac has a higher PP, agility and has a base stat of 3 luck, compared to Felix's 2. Both have exactly the same classes/equipment.

Jenna>Garet. Although Garet is pretty much superior in the stat department (with the exception of Agility, PP and Luck), Jenna's stats are not too far behind. The main reason that Jenna is better is that she has *almost* an equal attack score that of Garet, plus speed is the more important stat. It is the classes that Jenna can use to take advantage of her already high, well rounded stats. She can rectify the ever so slightly weaker attack and defence with the Tisiphone Edge and a strong armour. Although Garet has the ability to equip the Excalibur, which is better that the T-Edge because of its higher reliability, it won't matter anyways because both adetps can reach the 999 atttack max very easily.

Ivan>Sheba. Sheba, statistically, is stronger that Ivan! Ivan only exceeds her in two stats=PP and agility. And what important stats they are. With the highest agility in the game, Ivan can always pull of a first move with a quick class such as the Pure Mage or Wizard. Agility is very important in linked battles, so it is generally considered that Ivan>Sheba. The other main reason is that Ivan has a better equipment choice. Tisiphone Edge>Lachesis' Rule/Atropos' Rod. At the most, Sheba can do around 400 damage with an unleash from the Lachesis' Rule, while Ivan can do 1200+ with a 7-Hit Vengence unleash.

Mia=Piers (Piers>Mia in terms of dealing damage). Piers may have a better equipment setup (Excalibur/Tisiphone Edge>Lachesis' Rule/Atropos' Rod), but Mia has the high luck factor, plus having pretty much the same stats as Piers (although Piers stats will eventually be slightly higher). Mia also has the ability to perform the 720HP Pure Wish, in which no one else is capable of doing. And with so much PP, as well as a high Luck stat, any team with Mia is not going to die easily. Mia can pull of a 550+ hit with Serac plus increase strength, but it can't compare to the damage done by the Excalibur/Tisiphone Edge.

And Iris is better than Catastrophe; not just for its attack, but also for her nice healing power too. She full heals (actually not really, there IS a set limit for the amout that you heal, but its neglible unless you really really suck and have crappy stats) and revives everyone in your party: even the ones in the back row.

I never said that Catastrophe is better than Iris. I only just said it's stronger. Anyways, the game is easy enough without the summons, plus in Linked Battles, any summon that exceeds 3-4 dinn is generally considered a waste.

I personally want the battle to end ASAP, so I gear my guys towards 999 attack and high percentages of unleashes.
