1. How let Ryu get more Dragon Power? 2. How to catch Uparupa? (I always end up by killing it)

1. Puppies come automatically. To get the mature dragons, ride the frog form of Jean down the waterfall west of SimaFort (best done right when you get Jean, before going into SimaFort, but can be done afterwards). G.Dragon is obtained as part of a story battle. Survive long enough to get it. 2. You don't. When you place a fruit in front of the right hole, it'll come out. Run to it fast and press A. You'll enter into a dialogue with it. Choose to let it go, and it'll give you a treasure (a good sword). Return to the circus owner and tell him that you refuse his offer.

Breath of Fire 2 was the most confusing game i have ever played, but damn was it fun. No replay value though.

[glow=green,2,300]That's actually not true. I'm playing BoF2 for the second time because it was so much fun. Sure, it's becoming a hassle to train everyone from lvl 1 again, but it's not that bad. I'm around halfway through the game and I'm still enjoying it. Anyways, yeah you can't catch Uparupa b/c it's just not cool and you get 7 dragon transformations total. You get the Elemental Puppy Dragons, the Elemental Mature Dragons, and the G-Dragon. When you get G-Dragon, the other 6 will be rendered completely useless (At least they became useless to me). Btw, you do get Anfini, which is classified as a Dragon transformation, but it's just to revive your characters when the final boss kills 'em off...it's a pain to get but it's uber useful and it's best if you go get it. ^_^ <^^>[/glow]

Not exactly. There is a boss fight immediately after getting the G. Dragon that you really shouldn't use anything beyond Puppies for, unless you want to miss the good ending and the flying TownShip. Although there are technically 7 dragons, the 3 dragons are exactly the same--no elemental weaknesses or strengths. I think it's the same for the puppies, but I'm not sure.

Good ending? How do I get it? And Yes why you say confusing? It is because the story? Or the system? These days I'm busy so I'm still in the part of saving the fat queen.

You will meet a boss at the end of a certain dungeon. This boss has several parts, all except 1 of which are big eyes. To get the good ending, kill all the eyes without killing the middle part, and visit Guntz (using the whale or the bird), find this strange girl (under some stairs hidden behind one of the bookcases) to figure out the secret of your town, and beat the game. To get the medium ending, kill the middle part of said boss at the same time or before killing the eyes. To get the bad ending, say you prefer to wait when you are prompted by a certain character to go into the cave behind it or wait and take your chances.

Also you can miss Anfini, which makes the last battle really hard.

I see thank you again Terrapin Knight Yes I agree with you. I remember the first time play BOF4 I missed many things! Like I didn't find most of dragons and they are not up graded til the end of the game! Now I'm finding BOF3 and planing to play BOF1. Unfortunaly, I don't have PS2 so I can not play BOF5.

BOF1 in my opinion was better because it was longer. The glaring downside was that all of the bosses continue to fight long after their HP is gone. For example, when i fought the gremlin boss (i think that is what hes called, he controls the giant robot), I had to get rid of about 300 % of his HP before he finally died. I'm not saying it is hard, just that it makes no sense.

BoF1 was too unbalanced. Only a few characters can do any damage at all after a certain point. Characters like Mogu and Gobi are only good as part of Karn's fusions. Of course, Karn has an overpowered form for most of the game. Shin is going to pretty even with Ryu's dragon forms until later, when you get the Puka form, in which case Puka far outclasses Ryu's dragons.
Gotta love the boss fights with Agni. Set it to auto-battle and leave the room for 10 minutes, coming back to fnd the victory screen.

[glow=green,2,300]The reason why most people find BoF games hard is b/c SOME (As in not all) people don't read what EVERYONE has to say. Characters hint at things and also, you should explore as much as possible..honestly, how many people missed the island w/ the giant monsters? I love that island b/c when I go there, I can lvl up the characters I don't use for later. I don't like using Spar in BoF2 but you need him when you go inside the dream of the tree. So what I do is I let him do crap up until I have access to the island and power lvl him there...once you get the Shaman though...everything goes downhill from there. I try to get the transformations for Sten, Bow, and Rand (Which if I remember correctly, you can do.) and, IMO, they're much better offensively and defensively in thier transformed states..and by better I mean my characters were doing almost 2X the damage...p_p it was beautiful. Also, if you don't get Anfini, the game sucks b/c you can't beat DethHeven (sp). He's too hard w/ just Ryu. I remember talking w/ some of the characters in the last village and finding out about Anfini. If people just talk w/ the NPCs, then they will pick up MOST of what they need.[/glow]
