I am very sorry Fer, NomadicTrooperGirl and anyone else that got annoyed at my last post.  Yeah I was being a little bit of a bastard... Sorry again. Anyways back on track. Kupo is not an "who" or "it". It is a word from the language of the race of moogles. Initially, in the earlier Final Fantasies, moogles appeared and only had a one word vocabulary: Kupo. Over the FF's, these friendly creatures continued to help you, while saying the occasional Kupo. Mog (FFVI) was the exception. He was the first moogle to speak english. Through the new 3D FF's, moogles rarely appeared, until FF9 in which they were EVERYWHERE. They also finally developed the ability to speak English, while retaining the word Kupo every sentence or so. It might be speculated that Kupo is a genetic habit of the moogles, and was never lost in the transition (if there was one at all) of moogles learning how to talk english. And about that red fluffy ball dangling above their heads...I really have no info about that... Makes them look cute? I used to call it a "pom poms"....until CC, in which they called it "bon bons"...Now I'm confused and I ignore it all together. |
