I knew the Fire Emblem Trading Card Game through Boo's Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu fan translation site. The site has a link to that. It looks interesting to me. I also went to a Japanese site covering the Fire Emblem Trading Card Game. I wish there was an English site for that.

I wonder if we'll ever get the chance to play them. Perhaps if they made a FE7 version then slowly introduce the other games as booster packs or something. I'm just dreaming though.

i know how to play...that only cuz i know how to play 80% of the world's games XD
anyways, its kidna of a small mix between magic and yu gi oh...PERHAPS a bit of LOTR or something...
its hard to desribe though...
despite i know, i dun have the cards XD

I'm not so sure that knowing the generalities of CCGs means that you'll know how to play FETCG.
For a start, there's a 'map' to take into account which no other one I can think of uses...
I've dl-ed some reference stuff, and I'm going to _try_ to figure out some basics of playing it...

It would help if we have the cards. Perhaps we should raise some awareness about these cards and see if Nintendo would be interested in bringing them here. Perhaps after the Yu Gi Oh craze dies down. Those are only Holy Weapons. There is a nice pic of Ayra though.

I know full well that those are 'only' Holy weapons (provided you don't count the long-range spells, and the skill). Why wouldn't anyone want to see pictures of the holy weapons...? Anyways, I've translated a bit over half of the 'Referrence Sheet' (sic) ( eg.nttpub.co.jp/fe/dl/referrence.pdf ). So far I'm pretty sure I've got the right meaning for about a third of it, and most of the rest I've been able to make educated guesses at... really only one sentence has thrown me, and I label it in the file, which, incidentally, is here: www.thegreatbeyond.net/DarkTwilkitri/FE4/fetcgref.txtIf anyone wants to go through the pdf file and complain about my woeful translating skills, go right ahead... I'd just like to take the time to point out that you need Reader 6 and an updated Jap Lang pack to open it (the pdf, not the text. I know that someone would take it the wrong way if I didn't include this)... |

The combination of game+cards+anime might work well for FE, which prove to be tough competition for Yu-Gi-Oh, if Ninty tries to resurrect the FE anime; which stars Marth, or an all new anime which stars Roy or Sigurd/Celice. This could work well, if Nintendo learns from it's mistakes that it made with pokemon, which was too much publicity, giving it the nickname Pogaymon by haters of the anime. FE should also try to compete with Final Fantasy for popularity as well(but if it goes in the fad direction, it can't compete, but at least Nintendo could keep publicity of the series at a good level to balance it out) |

Do you really think a Japanese company would care about us silly American people? They wouldn't go and remake an anime just for the Western Market. Unless Japan demands it, we won't get it even if we could get 12 million signatures in a petition.

Rar - too much stuff due in in the next few weeks, and exams as well. I should finish off transing the referrence after that. I'm almost done as it is, but I'm going to wait until I do the last section before I upload the updated one.

I'd like a Fire Emblem card game, a hit TV show, movies based on all 7 games and lots of Fire Emblem action figures. You know, I really want some Fire Emblem action figures. I've seen some but they're not what I had in mind. A Sigurd action figure with horse and a Sliver Sword, Steel Lance and Tryfling. Some button you can press to make Sigurd swing his sword. Mages can attach launching fireballs or whatever to their hands. Press a button and watch them fly... Go I'm going nuts here.
