Well actually I think its mentioned in FE6 and and also is heavily implied by the fact everyone talks past tense abotu Roy's mother for example Marcus x Lillina

And from that it seems to actually emphasize that he didn't mean Ninnian will die early in terms of Dragon Years-Human Years but that she'd just generally die early even in human life terms. And besides has anyone noticed how incredibly casual Nils was about telling her sis shes going to die in a few years? |

That's how Ninian dies, and she's not necessarily always Roy's mother. I mean in FE6 how she died isn't explained. I know how Ninian dies if she stays. =P
