It's hard to say really after all they haven't made an announcement maybe if the game sells at Japan they may consider.

Probably it will sell but they want to see the consumer reactions to play things safe after all this is the first 3d Fire Emblem in the series and they wouldn't want to spread it around if it sucked.

you can't kill a good series just by making it 3d.
I eman most of the time it actually made sales better. oot, the first 3d zelda, was the best selling installment in the entire series.

While I know that Nintendo will possibly not bring out FE6 ... I really like to think that they will.
The cliffhanger ending, as everyone has babbled about, in my opinion actually DOES imply that FE6 will be released here. If it been nothing more than just Eliwood and Hector discussion about possible evil, and Athos` prediction, I`d agree that it won`t be released.
But it wouldn`t have been all that hard to remove the scene from the game from when it shows castle Bern on ... just to end it with the nice happy family scene. But they showed the scene. That seriously makes me think they plan to bring it here.
I believe that they changed their minds about bringing it out here based on the massive amounts of confusion the Lufia series had when its second game prequeled its first. In my mind, Rekka no Ken was only released because of Marth and Roy`s popularity in SSBM. There`s no other reason why it would be released now, of all times. And I`m sure Nintendo would want to capitalize on Roy. So they decided to bring out FE7 first to save the confusion for stupid people.
Or maybe it`s just wishful thinking.
Probably just wishful thinking.
And remember ... I am NOT the one to be asking about these things =p

I thought that the cliffhanger scene wasn't even implemented in the Japanese FE7 game? I have the ROM on my computer and unless it's an incomplete verison, I never saw that ending once while playing through. And I'm not one for pressing the start button, either...
Unless my ROM is just incomplete, I'd agree that the cliffhanger ending is a sign that they'd release it here, since I never saw it in the original game to begin with, and why add it if it's not going to lead to anything?

I have a Japanese imported Rekka no Ken, and yes Eaichu the cliffhanger ending is there. Still has the scene with Zephiel, Roy with Lilina, and so on...
As for why it is there in the North American version I dont know, but I think people read to much into it. I think it is either just there to show you what happened to the characters after the Final battle, and or just plain stupidity on Nintendo of America's part. I'm leaning towards stupidity.
Who knows though, it could be released here, I dont think it is likely seeing as how FE8 has been announced for Japan. If FE6 is not shown at this years E3 than it will not be released outside of Japan. IMO.

I thought that the cliffhanger scene wasn't even implemented in the Japanese FE7 game? I didn't see it either, but... well, my Eliwood had no "A" supports, so I can't be sure. I'd trust what Jet said. I don't believe the americans made that final adult Zephiel CG, for example. |

Well, my Eliwood had only one D support with Hector and I saw the cliffhanger ending.

Well, it may be hidden inside the japanese version, anyway. After all, Lyn doesn't have a special animation with the Sol Katti in it. At least, not in my rom.

The Lyn Sol Katti animation was limited to only the US version, there was no special animation for the original.

I think FE 6 should be remade and bring it out here. But it doesn't really matter what we all think, it matters what Nintendo thinks. So if they want to bring it they will.
