getting enemy units to join you?

ok I realized by now that you can't talk to people, they have to approach you. however, I fail to see hwo enemy units can join you. theres this myrmidon guy who's all red and has long brown hair and he keeps killing me and I don't know how to get him to join me. do I just kill him or what?

The talk command, since you can't read Kanji, is the second one down; chances are, you can talk to anyone that a) isn't a boss, and b) has a portrait.

As for the long haired swordfighter, talk to him with Clairine (the troubadour). DO NOT KILL HIM!!! He will likely become your top swordmaster, unless RNG happens to like Fir.

Why not tell him to look at the presence or absense of affinity? Works most times. I think.

u can just remember from where it was in FE7. doesn't take Kanji....it just takes commen sense...........and he said that he relizes he cant talk to people....when he can...............

The troubador you got was an exception. I cannot think of any other units that will talk to you. But the menu is the same as in FE7. If you need any recruiting help hector93950, just PM me. Here or Neoseeker.

your right, I can't read kanji. and I know where the talk command should be, I just stupidly figured roy could talk to everyone (silly me). well anyway, who do you talk to that theif girl with? I talked to ehr with roy and yet she remained an enemy. should I wait till the end of the chapter and then she joins (like jaffer from fe7 if you taoked to him with nino) or is there sum1 else to talk her with? if there are more than one theif girl theif, to avoid confusion, tihs is the one where you get dorothy (I think thats her name) and the cleric guy (cleric... guy?)

you need to get Roy to talk to her in three different chapters to get her so just talk to her, steal her things and let she go for now

Yes that's a male cleric. And a....perverted one at that, or so I hear. I can't be sure, I can only read a few kanji. Like three. There are no monks in FE6 so the male light users are the same as the female ones.

Just wait until you hear that a long time ago, Mercenaries became Swordmasters. (I think)
