The galaxy of the heroes is the most recent manga I've read.

Mobile Suit Gundam... isn't that the one with the speed racer animating? I hate that Gundam series... probably the only one I didn't like. 8th MS Team ruled though.

Yay to Valeria for mentioning Oh! My Goddess. After watching it at least a dozen times, I still think it's the best movie ever.
As for series, I like Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, and Outlaw Star; (bonus points to whoever notices the pattern ^^) I absolutely love all things Oh! My Goddess (Can't wait to see the new thing that's being rumored); I'm working my way through watching Slayers; and many others.
My favorite series, however, is a little-known one. It's just coming to America (volume #1 is being released in a week), and it's an awesome 13-episode series. It's entitled Saishuu-Heiki Kanouju, generally translated as "She, the Ultimate Weapon." It's kind of like Gundam in that it really emphasizes the complete suckitude of war, but it does so in a much more depressing way. Really sad, and really great.

Oh, I`m a huge anime junkie, I`ve got tons.
For anime, my absolute favorite is Gravitation, I just love it and everything about it. The characters are great, the story is great, the humor is great. Even my 100% straight fiance loves it. I`ve never heard anyone who actually went into Gravi with an open mind disliking it.
My other two favorite are Fushigi Yuugi and Shin Shirayukihime Densetsu Pretear. FY`s great, although I beseech all not to watch the dub, it`s god awful, everyone but Tamahome makes me cry. Pretear, I pretty much like just for Mawata, who is my favorite character from anything ever. I even run her fanlisting! Others that I watch and love, yet don`t really fangirl over, are Trigun, X, Full Metal Panic!, GetBackers and Yami no Matsuei.
My favorite manga are Gravitation and Mars, tied, pretty much. Mars is a shoujo high school romance, but different, because it`s very dark and sad. I`m addicted to it, it`s incredible. Gravi is VERY different from the anime, but quite possibly even better. Other manga I like are Fushigi Yuugi, Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden, Alice 19th (Yes, I`m QUITE the Yuu Watase fangirl =p), and Inu Yasha. (I love the IY manga, but I can`t stand the anime, for some reason.)
Arg. Never ask me about anime. I can`t shut up.

Right now, I'm watching Great Teacher Onizuka, and I'm loving it. ;D I'm waiting for a friend of mine to put his Kenshin episodes on CDs (about 30 CDs that is :  so I can watch that too. |

Yup, like I said, G-Gundam gets poned, but I still love it. Its... like Gundam Wing; no decipherable storyline, just a bunch of confusing revelations!
