Wait so does this mean Niime is also her Grandmother and Nino's dad was his brother?

No...just disturbing that Lugh and Rei were forced to live in a orphanage when they had a Great Grandmother.

Tigana just because you're not blood related to your great grandmother/aunt does that mean you disown them?
And besides Niime isn't the oldest FE character since techinically that title goes to Fa and Idoun since Fa is over more than 1000 years old even Sophia is only like around 500 years old Idoun being Fa's older sister should be very old.
And one thing I want to know...who's Hugh Uncle? I know he ran away after his Uncle went crazy because of Dark Magic but who was it?

Okay, just to clarify (since I don't think anybody fully explained it?)....
Nino was the younger child (she had a brother, too) of the family known to be the greatest magic users in all of Lycia. They knew the location of the Dragon's Gate, for whatever reason. When Nergal found this out, he and Sonia personally invaded their home and threatened them until they gave away the location of the Dragon's Gate...then they were killed anyway. Nergal thought he saw potential in Nino, so he spared her and told Sonia to raise her as a daughter (despite Sonia's protests).
And actually, there's not *too* much of an age difference between Nino and Jaffar. Jaffar's about 18/19 and Nino's 14/15. It'd be the same as a high school freshman dating a high school senior, which isn't all that uncommon really...

Nino's family keeps the secret of the dragons(no idea what kind of secret) and Nergal want to know that secret...
