What is a hex editor i think i have an idea but im not sure

A Hex Editor is just as it sounds. An editor that you can change hex values with. It's a bit complicated,but if you know how to get to a value/byte and you know what you're doing,it's quite easy to learn. You also must know that there are 256 possibilities in a value/byte (0123456789ABCDEF,two letters,16 x 16 = 256),but if you have a guide then you don't really need to know. It's mostly just for experimenting when you change them randomly.

Yeah, but hex editors can only change story and events. To change sprites you need a graphics editor.

That makes sense and about hacking could you hack jaffar so he was a different class and still get 1hKO?

You know... I really don't want to suond like a freakin' idiot, but... what is a hex value? is it like a part of the game code? or is the whole code made up of hex? The game's code is internal. Hex just loads it. |
