I'm just wondering why it seems no one likes this game. I may not have beat it yet, since I had to restart to get a GF I missed, but I love it. I don't want an argument, just what everyone thinks is wrong with the game.

Hey. The only thing I didn't really like was the difficulty level. It was way too easy, except for my first time fighting the final boss. I had only Quistis left with about 170+ HP and no GFs junctioned to her when I beat it.

FF8 is the easiest FF game I've ever played. Heck the Omega Weapon is the only FF super boss I've ever took down. The damages that Squall and Zell's limit breaks do are MASSIVE and Quistis's Mighty Guard and White Wind makes things even more impossible for the enemies. Theres a trick to Zell's limit breaks actually.....it's just as massive as the Lionheart, if anyone wants explanations just ask. Anyway the Ragnarok is probably the most badass looking airship...wonder how it would look in an arcade shooter.

I'm not really a huge FF fan... but I found nothing wrong with FF8 =) I haven't beaten it yet... but perhaps someday I'll get back to playing it.
And the Gunblade's one of the coolest weapons I've ever seen =D

Most of my freinds hate FF8, but like the rest of the series, I like it... I don't know why people don't like it though.

ff8 was probly one of the best ff games i played. i dont care what others think. i think its a great game cause it lets noob rpg gamers (like myself) beat it without having to buy a guide or any help. the game is pretty much straight foward unlike alot of rpg games that u need a guide to win.
rate 10/10 for tha game

Planner 1: We need to make a game as popular as FFVII. 2: Yeah! But we're going to need "cool" characters! Really "cool" characters. 1: How do we do that? 2: Simple. We need to give the hero an unattractive personality. Teenagers seemed to like that in Cloud. 1: Ok...as for weapons, what do you think we should do? 2: People liked it when Cloud had a sword...let's stick with that. 1: But Vincent was popular too, let's give the hero of this game a gun! 2: Sword! 1: Gun! 2: Sword! 1: Gun! 2: ...swordgun! 1: Gunblade! 2: Yeah!

Well, after falling asleep during several different boss fights while drawing spells--and failing quite a lot, especially with Zell--, I decided that FF8 wasn't a good game.

You just keep using his 2 button attacks. If you're fast you can get a LOT of them in, and it's more reliable than the Lionheart (although that is the sweetest sword move I have ever seen!).

yea Booya, Heel Drop, and Mach Punch are the only moves of Zell you'll ever need. The rest are just those over exaggerated nonsense that Squaresoft is so good at doing.
