I'm just a little confused on it. Like what path or paths I should take. Any suggestions?

Well, at first, the locks keep everyone pretty much shut in their own little section, except for Kimahri. So you'll spend the first part of the game with each character learning the things that fit their archetype--white magic for Yuna, speed and thiefy skills for Rikku, et al. Kimahri...I moved him towards Auron's section; I wanted a strong physical fighter, but he can go wherever you want him to, really.
Once you get key spheres, you'll be able to unlock the other paths and send people into each other's areas. At this point, it's again up to you to decide what you want to do with everyone. I sent most people through Tidus and Rikku's sections, because I like to have a speedy party. I also like to send Wakka through Auron's section, because long distance break moves are fun.
It's really up to you, depending on how you want to play everyone. I'd recommend downloading a map of the Sphere Grid--I think GameFAQs will have one, or there's a really nice full color one that comes with the strategy guide--and referring to that when you plan how you're going to move people. It's a good reference to help you figure out where to go.

Hey. I prefer to send everyone to Tidus' area as soon as possible. Near the end of it, there are a ton of speed bonuses...and that makes Quick Attack extremely effective with some characters. ;D
