It doesn't matter, you will need to start from scratch in Shura Mode, and for the individual mission, there are special condition such as...
Should I spoil anything?

Go ahead and spoil all you want... I don't really care.
What do you mean that "you have to start from scratch in Shura Mode?" Isn't your data from DW4 transferrable like with DW3/DW3 Xtreme Legends? (sorry that I'm using American names... but it's just takes less time to type)
Well... even if... I can still say that my DW4 file is complete ^_^;; I can't exactly say the same thing for DW3/DW3: XL...

Its more of a random mission mode. You still need the transfer for personal mode and the level 11 weapons, which I heard were a real bitch.

You can carry your data over and play the individual missions for each character. Those missions have condition such as no equipment, no soldier, start with certain stats halved etc.
But for Shura Mode, you start with base stats and build your characters up. No item or anything at the beginning.

Heh... that sounds interesting...
And I found that Xu Chang IS a good place to get high-level items. Between yesterday and today, I got a lv 20 Calvary Armor and Horned Helm (the two items I use the least -_-), and a lv 4 Fire Orb! I got a few other items upgraded, but I don't remember all of them...
I went on Shu's side, used Liu Bei (so he doesn't die as a CPU player), and put on the Seven Star Sash and Hex Mark saddle. First, I ran north and took out Man Chong. Then, I headed northeast toward the castle and eliminated Sima Zhao. After that, I backtracked and took out Hu Zhi (he's over in Xiahou Dun's area). Then I went south and defeated Cao Xiu. Then, I went back north and entered in one of the northern doors. I ran up the stairs and defeated Jia Xu. Finally, I jumped off the roof (be careful when doing so) into Cao Cao's area and beat down the Wei leader!
If you're decent with Liu Bei, it'll take you on average 10 minutes to finish the battle. I also took along body guards, just because they helped when I was trying to get back on Hex Mark. Just so you know... I maxed out Liu Bei's stats and got his lv. 10 weapon. I also put on the Peacock Urn, Dragon Amulet, Tiger Amulet, Dragon Amulet, and Lightning Orb. Also... yeah, I did do this on hard.
And maybe I'm just supersticious or something... but going into battle with Liu Bei's last model seemed to bring me more luck = \

Peacock Urn, Dragon Amulet, Tiger Amulet, Dragon Amulet, and Lightning Orb.
The item names suck.

Do you have to be on Hex Mark to get the luck boost, or is just equipping the saddle enough? I hate riding horses.
Also, what level is your Seven Star Sash?

My Seven Star Sash is 18 or 19 I think... and I believe that you don't have to necessarily be riding Hex Mark to have the luck boost. My conclusion comes from 1) not having a difference whether I picked up the items on foot or on Hex Mark and 2) something I heard that if you equip the Shadow Harness, you can mount another horse and not fall off!
Also, don't be discouraged if you don't get good items in Xu Chang right away (especially if your items are already high level)... sometimes you may only get one, or none at all. I noticed that for a while, every-other time I completed the battle I got ONE upgraded item...
But my method is quickest for finding items since the officers I listed are the only ones I found that drop items. If anybody knows where there are items stashed in boxes, can you tell me? I'm too lazy to search every crate in the battle... (I have trouble at times on the Imperial Seal level...)

Equip Hex Mark, Seven Star, go to that...mission ¤¤V줧¾Ô... Difficult. (Wu Zhang Plains?) using Shu.
There are 4 treasure boxes in this game, but just get the one in the Shu base and the one at the middle first, then go kill Cao Cao. Don't kill him though, get him to a little life, then go to where Zhang He is (his starting location). There is a treasure box around there. Save and Exit.
Load game, get the item in that place, go back to Cao Cao's starting location, there's an item there as well. Get that, kill Cao Cao. See if the items are good, if not, don't save and load game.

Anybody have any suggestions for meeting the Yellow Turban/Shu/Dong Zhuo special requirements for the 4th ending in Musou Mode?
Yellow Turban: (Yellow Turban Rebellion) All allied generals must survive
Shu: (Campaign for Cheng Du) Liu Zhang must surrender
Dong Zhuo: (Si Shui Gate) Once Li Jue decides to withdraw (after Hua Xiong is defeated), defeat Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Jian.
For the first one... I'll probably have a friend help me out... but does that mean our combined "KOs" must be over 200, or does one of us have to get over 200 by ourselves? The last two I'm kinda stuck on... especially the Dong Zhuo one. The first time I did nothing, and Li Jue retreated before I got over 200 "KOs." The second time... I defeated almost everyone EXCEPT Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Jian. My friend thought that I should just defeat all the other generals, besides the three above and Yuan Shao, and leave the four forces alone. I thought maybe I should raise the difficulty (yes, I was playing it on easy... not that I can't handle hard, it's just that it's more difficult to get the ending on hard... yeah...).
So... anybody got any suggestions for me?

There's a walkthrough on getting Liu Zhang to surrender here: www.chongwanhsing.per.sg/dynastywarriors.htmlI can't speak for the validity of it, because I've yet to go after Shu's fourth ending myself (I'm working on getting the rest of Wu's endings first).

It works, I've done it. But beware, the game randomly decides to make Liu Zhang retreat, so MOVE YO' ASS!

Hopefully I can get to getting the Shu 4th ending soon... first I gotta get the Wei 2nd ending and make sure everybody in Wu and the other forces have their points maxed out...
I know this may sound kinda odd... but can anybody give me the names of the Shu, Wu, and Wei bodyguards in DW3: Xtreme Legends in order? See, I got this idea to put them in there, and make the Shu guards with the Dragon rank, Wu guards with the Tiger rank, and the Wei guards with the Phoenix rank. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the guards' names anywhere except for my "general list," I loaned my copy of DW3: XL to my friend, who took it with him to Texas (he'll be back this summer... hopefully he'll finish building everybody up by then), and I don't want to rent it. Help please...?

Don't have 3XL, so I can't help you there...
When I set up bodyguard units, I just went through my copy of the novel and pulled names. But they're all low level because I never use bodyguards anyway...

It's allright... I got the bodyguard names from my friend today who I loaned DW3:XL to. I couldn't fit some of the names in though because they lowered the maximum characters for names in DW4! >.<
I use bodyguards quite a bit... they help me take out the really annoying people with high defense (which is pretty much everybody on hard in the later levels). They were also helpful when I was getting the 1st endings, so they could fend off people that were annoying me and I wouldn't have to worry about getting over 200 "KOs"...
