Hmm, well if you need any help, I can probably provide some info. I don't know how accurate translating from japanese to chinese then back into english though. Although I doubt "Hello Leaf" in japanese would end up as "you smelly old fart, eat some nuts!" when I translate it back into english.

Thank you. The things that matter won't be changed much, I think (and I think his previous translators work with the Chinese script...but I could be wrong)....if anything, some emotions and little details COULD be screwed. I know my translated fanfics have some details that are absolutely screwed, but that's the extent of that.
As soon as my laptop is delivered in campus, I'll try to see if I can't do things. And I'll ask around if there're any problems.

Ever played a game called Chinese whispers? Have you even thought of why its called that. Its the reason we call Japan, Japan and not whatever "land of the rising sun" is in Japanese. The convos will have grammatical changes between the 2 languages.

And with some tranlsations they just make it up as they go along anyway....like in the Houshin Engi-->SoulHunter anime translation.
Kou tenka: "I've come to help dad!"
Became....
Kou Tenka: "Ey! Papa! This guy giving you crap?"
Plus this one too.....
Taikoubou: "But if you fall off the arena you can fly back up!"
Became
Taikoubou: "If you fall than you can fly back up! Like a.....bat...erm..flying...boy...thing!"
I'm only using those as examples.....

Err... you do realize Japanese apdoted kanji for a reason. Their language is very similar to Chinese. It was around the 800s(I could be wrong but I know it's around the mid to late Tong Dynasty) that Japanese scholars were sent to China to learn the language. They even adapted it into their own language. Why do you think people who can read Chinese can also read Kanji? Both languages are similar enough for the games to be translated so quickly.

In most cases if you already know Chinese its simple to learn Hiragana and Katakana isn't used for much except for other than words from other language hence why Sigurd is called things like Ziglud and Tsugurudo (And yes I have actually seen him referred to as that a few times) since you can't get an accurate sound.
Also the language grammar and context is quite similar enough to easily grasp the concept of Japanese grammar and vice versa with Chinese even some expressions and cultural things share a basis.....
Japanese: Hajimemashite Leifu Literal: "How are you Leaf?" Ohayo Leifu Literal: "Morning Leaf"
Chinese: Nihao Leaf Literal: "Hello Leaf" or Nay ho Leaf Literal: "Hello Leaf"
Damn...I was really hoping it would as well....... Oh well just checking...

Of course. And then you get things like "Sukimono ga suki dakara shouganai" =P
............Yes, I don't think it's that different. Someone I used to know was a native chinese....he never studied Japanese in his life...but he was an interpreter in WWII. So I guess it means something.
...........And anyone who romanizes to "Tsugurudo" is wonk. I mean, "Shi" and "Tsu" is similiar in katakana, but it's not THAT similar. -_-;;

Well go Google and run a search for 'Sigurd' or 'Chalphy' and see how many articles you can find calling him 'Tsugurudo'n_n
Its quite funny, I found about 3 separate people who call him Tsugurudo.
PS. Your an amazing girl Summer....you just gave me another word to add to my vocabulary of random words n_n
*adds 'wonk'*

The patch does not work with the latest WIP version of ZSNES, Version 10.07. The sprites and menus are screwed up to the point of not being playable.
