i used the code menu in SNES9x of course... and i searched for character data 'til i found the character "portrait" address. when u changed the data, not only the "face" but the growth rate is changed as well. ppl like Arion/Athena have no growth rate (i tried this on the dragon riding brother 'n sister so i know). it was a long time tho. lemme try to look for it again starting today, but it might be futile seeing as the codes seem to be already available elsewhere.
oh and almost forgot, but make one of ur mage into Cyas and try Falaflame on him, that might work. you can also change salem into yurius to check out roptous tome too.

Remove lock from Tor Hammer: Change ROM 18:0A56 to 00 Remove lock from Fala Flame: Change ROM 18:09FA to 00 Remove lock from Holsety: Change ROM 18:0AB2 to 00
Remove lock from Loptous: Change ROM 18:0B53 to 00 Change Loptous to Wind type: Change ROM 18:0B4B to 07 Change Loptous to rank E: Change ROM 18:0B52 to 32
Are there any other locked weapons that people want unlocked?
I change Loptous to Wind because I didn't really want to go through all the classes until I found Dark Mage. I had Mage Knight, I used it.
Tor Hammer and Fala Flame are already rank E. Tor Hammer works, but not well. The ball is there, but the lightning tiles are missing.
Fala Flame doesn't work at all.
Holsety is rank B despite what is specified in the weapon data, and I couldn't test it because default MK wind is D. I'd assume that it'd work, though.
Loptous works, but not well. The dragon picture is missing, and it's got the wrong pallette for the rest. And its stats suck in any case.

Oh yeah,do you know if you can release the lock on the Loputo Sword,Grafucalibur,or Malitia's/Darkness Sword?
BTW,I found this really nice Darkness Spear in the item data(Stats are the same as Devil Axe except with 60% Hit),does anyone know if it does anything special? The description is buggy.

You'll want to zero out the following ROM addresses:
Lopto Sword: 18:03C7
Grafcalibur: 18:0A84
Darkness Sword: 18:0537
Mareeta Sword: 18:054E
I haven't had time to test them, but I trust my documentation.
All I can tell you about the Darkness Lance is as follows: Type: Lance Power: 20 Accuracy: 60 Weight: 20 Max Uses: 60 Critical: 00 Range: 1~2 Rank: E Personal: Nothing Stat Bonus: Nothing Use: Nothing Blade Effect: Nothing Skills: Awareness Attributes: Nothing Capabilities: Equippable
There is, however, a lot of the structure I don't understand, and I'm not 100% sure on the stuff I do have. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to really look at FE5 much, I've got so much on my plate already...

Try giving Cyas the FalaFlame. Even though his class can't use it, there's a cheat that'll allow you to make him use Fire magic. Give it to him and see if it works.

ESPerion: Why would I want to classify it? :P In any case, what I said to SpryoDi stands: I don't have access to any of my stuff at the moment. I'll put it up the first chance I get, but beware, it's nowhere near the quality of the FE4 documentation at fehack. Mainly because I can't figure out around a third of the weapon structure, but ah well.
TF: I removed the lock from FalaFlame, so it shouldn't matter who uses it. Unfortunately, currently I have no way of knowing who a lock is for, I only know where the byte is which specifies that there is a lock. In any case, I removed the lock and changed Leaf's sword into it, then changed his class to Mage Knight, and he couldn't use it. I have no way of knowing what rank the game thinks it is, because it crashes if you try to detailedly look at it... the weapon data says that it's E, but then the weapon data says that Holsety is E as well and it's actually B. So it could just be that he wasn't a high enough rank. At that point I didn't have the ability to change class default ranks, so there wasn't much I could do.

Well, I had an interesting time. I decided to try something I though would never be right, and found out that it was. Most of the things I couldn't work out from before are pointers. They must have been reall pressed for space if they were putting pointers in the data, rather than using a seperate list like they did all the time in FE4. In any case... ftp doesn't work from the uni, so I can't upload anything to tgb. I can, however, upload to my abandoned angelfire webspace which supports http uploading. But it doesn't support directory listings, so I'm going to have to post a link to all of the files. Pictures of normally unattainable classes: Master Knight Master Knights can no longer use Light magic,and their armor looks 8-bit. Emperor Emperors cannot use Magic for some reason. Lord Knight You can't see their hair...o.O They can still use Spears,though. Dark Prince How unoriginal... Magic,Skill,Speed,and Defense automatically max out when switching to this class. Thanks to TheEnd for experimenting with Leaf's variant class and posting the AR codes.
