Hrm.
I try to add her to the unit list, but it won't let me... There's an odd symbol right under the
Units required for mission > Amount of units currently selected > Max amount of units allowed
part in the duty screen.

She's too tired.
That is, characters which do too much have to sit out a mission to rest up. Saphy must have gone past her limit.

Ah, I never knew that...
Thanks.
Just have to do the mission with Mareeta over again, no biggie... just without Safy, which is okay, since Nanna holds her own in healing.

Btw, about fatigue: in the status screen, it's the number below the movement. If it surpasses the character's hp, he/she won't be able to join in the next chapter. The "S drink" (yellow bag) cures fatigue points.

If so, everyone would be fatigued when I finished arena chapters, as I easily spent 100+ turns in them. It has to do with the ammount of damage the unit takes, and the ammount of attacks it makes, I guess.

It actually has to do with everything the unit does...
How much they move on a map, attack, defend, weapons they use etc.

In actual fact it should be mentioned....
The way they designed the fatigue system is one of my faves it really balances out the game...
In FE5 stave users are the strongest units on the map due to the sheer power of staves in this game. But to compensate for it, the weight of the stave used is directly added to the stave users fatigue plus they have low HP generally. So if a stave weighs 5 you gain 5 to your fatigue.
Melee combat units though gain +1 for every battle they participate in and I think another +1 depending on the total ammount of squares they move on a map....forgotten how much it is though. I think magic units gain extra fatigue from something else which I'm not too sure of yet.

I didn't know the staves weight thing. I always wonderend if it served only to determine if a thief could or not lift them.
Interesting.

The thief thing is also correct....
But theres alot of stuff in FE5 hidden and other aspects you never realized effected the game.
Thats why till this day I still regard FE5 as the perfect example of the pinnacle of game design.

Alrighty... I'm on the chapter with Amalda, the paladin you can't recruit...
Is Shanam (Sp?) in this chapter? And if so, when does he appear? Talking to him gets shooting star hit for Mareeta, so...
And I've been using Carrion... holy crap.
Carrion Level 12 Paladin HP - 60 Strength - 20 Magic - 5 (Bleh.) Speed - 20 Skill - 20 Luck - 20 Defense - 20 + 5 Build - 20
And he only had the Hezul scroll... he's scary. He's stronger than Othin. (Minus the Pugi axe.)

If its the one with Ralf the mecenary you can recruit....
Than Shannam appears from the forts in the north after about turn 9 I think or more. He can't be recruited yet though.
