Ok, I'm in the mood for fanfic writing and I was wondering, can you 2 shorten or give me a less confusing explaination of Fin and Lachesis's relationship in Thracia 776(the one in the FE4 board was starting to get confusing). I want to write a story about Fin and his battle after the death of Cuan and Ethlin. I'm not very good with this romance stuff so I need some advice. I might not even touch the Fin and Lachesis thing though. Of course I want to be true to the original story as well.
Also, you 2 read a lot of fanfics right? How would you rate most of them in terms of action(not just FE, fics about any game or whatever)? Are they well written? Does any of them contain fights scenes or big action scenes? Maybe I'm reading the wrong place but I find most fics based on games don't contain much action/fight scenes.

About to faint from lack of sleep.....are you SURE you want to hear my opinion on FinnLache?
As far as action goes, it depends on what you want to write. Most fics out there are character exploration fics and/or romance, so they lack somewhat in the way of action. There are a few action fics IIRC, but the quality of the action scenes is rather mixed.
I've considered writing the battle at Alster...seems it's a significant battle....but my inspiration bailed out.
I can't even concentrate on all the points of your post, so....later.....ugh....

My opinion on FinnLache although both Iris and Summer would kill me for it........
Lache x Beo is default and they had Delmud, Lachesis was trying to find a replacement for her brother basically. Than along comes Finn who is takes his job seriously like Eltoshan Lach falls in love cheats on Beowulf Lach and Finn have Nanna than Beo leave Lach because he finds out she doesn't actually care for him.

Theres only one problem with that...... Lachesis had Nanna BEFORE she went to Lenster since Beowulf mentioned both kids before the Battle of Baharra so everything would have had to take place during FE4 1st gen. Thats why I think Lachesis was just trying to chase after a shadow of her brother and replace him but she couldn't than theres Finn who she had genuine feelings for. Thats also partly why I think Beowulf may have sent her to Lenster because he knew about Finn. And personally you have to remember how Finn is, he is loyal to his duties and really tries to be very serious about it. Its likely he acted cold about Lachesis because he believed he had a duty to protect both Nanna and Leif and his personal happiness came second because he believed himself a failure for letting the kingdom fall, Lachesis go missing and Cuan and Ethlin dying and Althenna missing. |

Oh yes, thanks for bringing up another problem. According to the offical site, Nana's only 14... yet Thracia 776 takes place 16 years after Sigurd died. WTF!?

Wait sorry I checked it my bad, it was Noish's convo that mentioned both children not Beo's so I guess its all good to go for Nanna being 14 but it does screw up the game Noisch as Nanna's father as it means shes at least 18/19 in 2nd gen. n_n But TF you're wrong about that......16 years later....check Thracia 776's beginning after the intro here it is.  It says 13 years later, Leaf started his rebellion 4 years before Celice not 1 so in FE4 that means he's a good 19 years old. Its just 776 was when the main uprising took place and in 777 they got beaten back by Bloom and eventually met up with Celice around end of 777 early 778. I thought there was something strange about Nanna being so young and I was right. But heres the Beo/Lach convo... Lachesis: Beowulf... Beowulf: Lachesis, if something happened to me, go to Lenster. There you'll find Finn and Cuan's son as well. Please help them for me. Lachesis: Don't say that!... We are going together! Beowulf: Lachesis, I guess I should apologize to you. Lachesis: Eh? What do you mean... Beowulf: I know your true feelings... Lachesis: !... Beowulf: Take care, Lachesis. I'd treasure the time we spent together, however short it has been. Lachesis: Wait! Beowulf!! Note the bolded bits which more or less heavily hint that Lach only got with Beo in memory of her brother and in actual fact liked Finn. |
