where would it be and why.I would want to go to Japan for the following reasons
*fewer idiots(he biggest reason). In Japan people don't blame video games the cause of violence, they blame the people that raised the person the cause of this violence(which is the real reason for the violence).
*Not much violence. From what i heard crime is almost nonexistant compared to america.
*Better music.Tust me i listened to a j-pop radio station for 10 hours straight and never heard a bad song, while in america I can listen to the radio for 30 minutes before I hear a bad song.
*Better tv.There is a real lack of reality shows.and the anime is better than most cartoons.the last really great american cartoon we had in my opinion was invader zim but that got cancelled because the show was about destroying the world, shows in japan get cancelled because they are not popular or the people think they are very stupid.
*less censorship.I hate censorship more than anything else in the world.
and mabye a few more reasons but i can't think of any more right now.

All your reasons is why I want to move to Japan also. *less censorship.I hate censorship more than anything else in the world. So true...what's the point of censorship when you still know what it is and that it's there?

There's still censorship in Japan, kiddies. www.escaflowneonline.com/eva/censor.htmlI myself wouldn't mind going to Japan, if only to more easily expand my doujinshi collection and hunt down the volumes I'm missing of the Seisen no Keifu manga. But on the other hand, I admit that it would be somewhat disorienting to live in a country where you can buy a hamburger from a vending machine. And I'd certainly need to brush up on my kanji before I left. I think I'd prefer to simply visit, rather than live there, really. Because there's a lot more to it than "OMG ANIME!!!111" There's also the high population density to consider. There's a whole new set of cultural norms to adapt to. Consider the possibility that Japanese doctors will generally not directly tell a patient when they have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Those kinds of cultural things I can do without. There's a lot to consider other than "hey, they get more video games!" I really wish people would think these questions through before answering like that. -_-;;

Wow, I was going to make a point on this subject, and Iris came along and said everything I was going to say, and then some. Good work, Kiddo.

Japan seems pretty popular with people. :P There's more to Japan than video games and anime, kids...though the sky city thing they're planning would be *awesome* to live in. If it gets built.
I'd actually rather go live in Korea. Why? For starters, I'd take my mother with me, and she could live with her family...
Not to mention when I visited Korea as child, I really liked it. :D I'd actually have to learn the language before I went though, since my knowledge of it doesn't go far beyong the alphabet and a few basic words...hell, I don't know how to say "My name is ____." XD I just think it'd be fun, I dunno.

I would prefer to stay in the United States. There's a couple places that I would like to be at right now, VA being one. And I'd like to visit NY again. Right now, I can't decide on one single place where I would stay.

Nice.... I myself am going to be like most people on this board and say Japan. Simply because I am most interested in the culture over there, and during cherry blossom season it's very beautiful ^_^. Also I wouldn't have to pay an outlandish price for my import games either. Yes, I take Iris's points into account, but each place has their own flaws, no place is perfect.

After bouncing around the world for the past four years, I'm happy right here, in Seymour, CT. Small town, country setting, and while I no longer know everyone, I'm meeting the ones I don't know through the Fire Dept.
A distant second would probably be a tie between Chesapeake, Yorktown (both in VA), or Corfu, Greece.

I'd go back to Hong Kong. Though... the house is like 20 times smaller there.
Wait... the TV would probably be smaller too, because there is less room...
But, much easier to get games, animes, mangas, and go out with friends, no need to drive, ... gah I want to go back to Hong Kong.
Or Taiwan.
