For me....East or West, home is best.
Because if I go to Japan, I'd hardly get anything done. XD (And not to mention Japanese folks can be a bit xenophobic at times)

I feel like home in Hong Kong.
But then the [edit] starting wages totally suck there.

Actually I'd love a peaceful area where I get to live on my own but with all the stuff I have now. Or maybe I'll pick up a quiet area and become very lonely.

I would love to live in the African, get a aids, then come back to north american, then spread it around.
Or maybe the northpole.

I've been, through sheer strokes of luck, been to Australia and China. Still stick with my previous commentary.

I would want to live in Atlantic Canada, honestly, which is where I live. I`d love to visit Japan, or Korea, or my bloodland, Ireland, but overall, it`s Canada for me. I like the climate, it`s pretty, lots of trees, great seafood all the time, multiculturalism, hotbed of Celtic culture, gay marriage is legal -- Canada rules, frankly, and I`m perfectly happy living here!

I have to pick my home town. Sure, it's impossible to know everyone there, and it's fraught with crime and traffic accidents and trafic in general, and the school system sucks, but I love the convenience of Las Vegas, NV. Everything is open 24hrs, and there's a lot of variety in things to do.
Plus, I absolutely love the climate. Ah, to be warm again ...
I would pick Japan for the culture/anime, but there exists one severe problem: I don't know Japanese. I've dealt with enough people here who don't speak English to know that not knowing the official language is a pain in the ass for all parties involved.

Today I read an article about how the Japanese hostages who were just brought home from Iraq are being ostracized and treated as a national point of shame by their countrymen.
I reiterate my earlier statement that Japan is a much nicer place to visit than to live. XP
Edit: I also reiterate that I know how to type. Really.
