In the sidequest 26xNight of Farewells, does anyone have a good stratagey for it? And does anyone have a good idea on what level I should upgrade Bartre as a fighter before I make him a Warrior for the Karla requirments? ((This is Karel btw. Lost my password.))

Okay, you ALWAYS should have a character promoted at Lv. 20 period. Use arenas in earlier chapters if neccessary.
The strategy depends on your troops as well.

if you still havn't trained Bartre...promote him at level 10, give hime the rune iron and a bow in Chap 31X and he should be fine... for chap 26X...flyers?pirates?let Sonia waste her bolting of high res or high avd characters...

(remberedmy password ^_^) I usually do that. But how much damage will Karla do? That's the only reason I'm concerned. I heard he has to be a level 5 warrior. He's a level 9 fighter right now...But I plan to have him fight the wyvern riders in this chapter to raise his level. Good idea?

I'm really confused. If you wanted Karla, why didn't you just train Bartre, he's not very hard to level up, there are plenty of Soldiers in the first few levels.

I had an easy enough time with Night of Farewells. I flew Heath around picking off the tougher enemies while bringing Serra, Erk and Wil slowly over to Sonia. I kept Wil out of range of her Bolting, letting her waste it all on Serra and Erk, and then slowly beat her to death with Wil + Longbow, so she couldn`t even touch me.
Just keep people out of way of that priest with Berserk. Nasty stuff >.<

- Put units with the highest defense on point.
- You may want to leave a couple of fighters at the start to cover your back, because reinforcements in the form of wyvern riders will appear in the vicinity.
- Give chest keys to your fliers or pirates so they can unlock chests.
- Have a thief steal the red gem, blue gem, and the angel robe. The best item imo is the angel robe, which is held by the bishop with the berserk staff.
- Equip Priscilla with a restore staff and have her standing by in case somebody gets hit with berserk.
- Try to end turns standing on land masses. Do not stop on bridges, because if bridges disappear, and they will later, then any non flier or pirate will be stranded in the water. The only way to get them back is to have a flier or pirate rescue them.
- Most importantly, keep Nino and other weaker characters out of Sonia's range. She can possibly fry some of your characters in one blow. Have her waste her bolting spells by sending your tougher characters within range.

Hopefully you've been training your Pegasus Knights well enough to promote as they'll be quite usefull here picking of the enemies and they can also be quite usefull at getting rid of Sonia's acursed Bolting spell. Anyway I do suggest you follow the Augry advice and bring Dart or Hawkeye. Like everybody said make sure you have some restore staffs at hand as there is a priest who will berserk your characters so be carefull. Also you may want to bring a lock pick and give it to Jaffar so he can loot the tressure chests and be sure to give the Angelic Robe to Nino so she can have abit more Hp. Also try to avoid the bridges as everybody said it it dissapears. Also I suggest that you also begin trying to level up Nino here at least up to level 10 so you can have an easier time levelling her up at chapter 27 as Nino is a WONDERFULL unit and she will be quite helpfull to you. Lastly bring a thief to steal some tressure oh and at the very top right corner you will notice some arechers and tressure chests there send you Berserker/Pirate there when no more enemies respawn. As it is quite risky to send a flying unit over there though I got lucky I suggest you don't take chances though. As for Sonia don't even bother trying to silence her with the staff you received earlier as chances are she'll dodge it and be carfull of her she has very high stats especially her HP and avoid to be carefull you may want to waste her Fimbulvetr first with high resistance characters.

Assassins can use lock picks? I know they can't steal, but if they can use lock picks, then I think that's a more useful ability anyway.

Yah but stealing would be useful, like dor Cog of DEstiny,I hate ringing a thief to steal the guiilded ring.
Barte should be at Level 20 by the time you leave Dragons gate for the first time and on lv.15 by Sands of TImes.
