I have just been shocked by a local newspaper that a Democratic Presidential candidate has vowed to screw up and attack the video game industry and community. To be a real gamer, you must not vote for Lieberman for President of the United States. If Lieberman wins the 2004 Presidential race, it will be the darkest day for the video game community, and it may mean the end to the community. If Lieberman starts to screw up the video game industry, having most video games completely recalled, there will be a march that millions of video game proponents will march up and take up arms, put on special uniforms, and wage a war against religious and political interference over video games, annihilate the supporters of video game restriction, and assassinate Lieberman and his agents; hence a war called "The Video Game Revolution" or "Battle of the Video Game Community." That war will be over when all religious and political interference over video games. We should do our best to keep Lieberman out of the White House. If you are a video game proponent who is able to counterattack Lieberman's campaign, it is recommended that you do so. We do not want to be influenced to wage "The Video Game Revolution", which is the last resort to save the video game community. We should do our best to avoid that and save the video game community from Lieberman's hands. The Video Game Revolution may later be in the history books and may become a major motion picture. It should be emphasized that a video game is just interactive entertainment, not religious or political nonsense. That is the way it is supposed to be.
I am a big video game proponent (or supporter of the video game community) myself. I love the video game community, especially the Final Fantasy community which is closest to me. I do not want you gamers to face religious or political video game restriction. We certainly do not want video game recalls.

*shakes head in despair*
I seriously don't know whether to laugh at this topic or to break out the flaming equipment...
*laughs uncontrollably* That answers that! ;D
Anyways, it was recently ruled that the First Amendment applies to video games as well, so don't go on a Lieberman Assassination Campaign just yet.

Does the First Amendment protect video games against mass restriction that is beyond the ESRB and against the recalling of video games?
The Lieberman Assassination Campaign would be a war against religious and political video game restriction and recall. That would happen if they happen to enforce video game recall, which is worse than restriction. Jehovah's Witnesses are actually violating the First Amendment.

Lieberman, like Nader, is also ruining all hope for Democrats.
Gamers, vote for Howard Dean, not Joseph Lieberman.

Yeah... ^^;;; Anyways, I don't recall ever seeing anything on a mass restriction of video games. Except maybe on GTA3/VC. But seriously, there are laudible arguments behind that, although I don't agree with some of them. The Lieberman Assassination Campaign would be a war against religious and political video game restriction and recall. That would happen if they happen to enforce video game recall, which is worse than restriction. First of all, I don't think that too many people will go to war over something like video games. I mean, in the big picture, they're just games. Second, where are you getting this recall info from? Could you post a link with a press release or news story of some sort? Seriously. NoBaka, you crack me up. ^^

A recalling of video games when there is an enforcement that most games should be recalled having every copy of them destroyed, cracking down on so called "violent video games." I think Lieberman is highly likely to induce a video game recall. If that happens, video game proponents will march and wage a war over video games. A recall is worse than an restriction, and it will be a bigger issue. I heard hint about that at acaldra.com/ffaura message board. Video game restriction and recall have been a big issue in my life in recent years, though it has been around a long time. Here is link to what I am talking about in this thread: greenvilleonline.com/news/2003/11/03/2003110318170.htmOne note about the article is about gamer Edward Kagler. He would support the regulation of video games, but he is opposed to the recalling of them.

Keyword: Message Board.
Hey, I heard that UFO's boarded the White House and replaced George W. Bush with an alien who's going to lead our country into despair. My source? The National Enquirer Message Board!
Okay, I seriously do not think that a politician is going to make a recall on video games when there are homeless people that are going hungry, as well as unemployed people, and risings costs in college tuition.

Okay, Tedius, what the hell are you smoking? All that article tells us is that Lieberman supports the rating system. I think the rating system is a good idea. I support it. If people paid more attention to it, there wouldn't be as many people whining and bitching about the industry.
So where are your visions of recalls and revolution in the masses coming from, hmm?

Okay, people, let's calm down a little bit. I'm going to be locking this topic so that no further fighting goes on, seeing as it's pointless and none of the members seem to be continuing on the discussion in a casual and calm manner.
Although, if any of you really want this topic to remain open without a bunch of fights going on, you can go along and PM me. I just don't want to see something breaking out.
