The Metroid series revolutionized graphics for the systems they were created on. Such as Super Metroid and Metroid Prime, they have very good graphics for their system.

Yeah... I haven't played Super Metroid. But Metroid Prime is good. RIght now I'm working on Metroid. I am confused and stuck.
Why is Metroid harder than all the other Metroid games?!?

The first Metroid is evil... why they made it harder is beyond me though =\
You... haven't played Super Metroid!? O.O;; That's like... the best Metroid game EVER!! I believe it was also the only one where it would let you remove equipment...

I'm surprised that no one I know know's of Nar Password or Narpa's Sword. For the NES Metroid, for your password, type in:
NARPAS SWORD0 000000 0000000
Those are zeroes, BTW. What it does is it gives you everything right at the beginning; Varia Suit, Bombs, Morph Ball, Screw Attack, etc. The only thing it doesn't give is the Wave Beam (because you have the Ice Beam). Also, you have infinite missiles as well as infinite health.
The cool part about this code is that it was only discovered around March of 2003, about 17 years after the game's release. Try it out! It works with the NES cart, the Metroid Prime link up, and the Rom (I've tested them all).

Don't forget this one:
JUSTIN BAILEY (space x 6) (space x 6)
Samus without her suit, 255 Missiles,x Energy Tanks(forgot how many),Screw Attack,Bombs, and the Wave Beam.
Who or what is Narpa? o.O

The only thing it doesn't give is the Wave Beam (because you have the Ice Beam). Yes... with that code, you could just go straight to Mother Brain and annihalate her =0 The problem with the Justin Bailey code is that it DOES give you Samus without her suit, but I can't figure out if the equivalent of the Varia Suit is on her or not =\ Also, it gives you the Wave Beam... meaning you have to go back and get the Ice Beam so you can freeze those blasted Metroids >.<;; BTW Adilink... thanks for the code =) I'm off to finally beat Mother Brain >=D

Ridley and Kraid are still alive, so you'd have to go and kill them before you go to Mother Brain. However, you can try to lure an enemy into the passageway to Tourian, freeze it, and use it as a platform to the doorway. It's pretty hard, though.

Well, I think its more fun to beat the game without cheats first, and then use the cheats to have fun the next time around.
Can anybody tell me how to get the ice beam without cheats? This game is so hard!!
