Favorite Game Series Other Than Fire Emblem

Samus would not have the Hyper Beam, Wave Beam, Screw Attack or even the Varia Suit. She would only have the Power Suit she starts off with. Same would go for Mega Man, he would only start off with his normal weaponry.

Mega Man would win because he has the speed and an incredible amount of strength, much stronger than Samus. Even Yuritu agrees.

I agree Samus could defeat Mega Man if she had all of her stuff, probably quite quickly, but without all of her equipment she would lose.

You forgot Cross Fusion.....

Cross Fusion would mean Lan also kicking the crap out of Samus in a most embarassing fashion. Cross Fusion boosts Megamans strength and speed several fold plus also fuses Lan and Megaman within the real world. Only Lan and Chaud can do it.

I do hope that you MM fans realize that one shot of Samus' wave beam would short circuit Mega Man into submission. He'd never have the chance to get close, either, because the wave beam goes through anything (except in Prime...that doesn't count). So does the Hyper Beam. Well, actually, it just obliterates stuff...So, from afar, she's untouchable.

I hope you do realize the power of Megaman .exe's Cross Fusion Rockbuster? That thing doesn't even need to go through things, it just plain PAVES down everything!
And even without that Zeta Cannon just obliterates everything while making him near invincible. We're talking about a robot who's had as much experience with long range weapons as Samus has with bounty hunting.

Normal Megaman it'd be more even, Megaman's best attack would be his Firestorm attack he gets from Fireman or the Gemini Laser, that goes through things too. But I think Samus would have this one.

Against X? No contest again, X in ultimate armour would Giga Buster or Crush her ass out of the arena.

Up close? If he attempted to lay a hand on her, she'd Screw Attack him into pieces.

X vs Samus, X has so many ways to answer this, Z-Saber, Dragon fist, Giga Crush etc.

Megaman.exe would own her more than any of the others, if you didn't know close range combat is .exe's preferred method of mass annihilation and most regularly used weapon.
So many choices, Widesword, Longsword, Lifesword PA, Elec Sword, Aqua Blade.

I suppose you wouldn't looking at the game series and the number of games it spanned. Iv'e touched a few megaman games and it was like the SNES games I was saying this is "one megaman too far" and now with Zero two and all that gibberish. Don't you realise Megaman games are total trial and error. Oh no I fell in the pit before the boss back to start of level isn't fun. It might have been "fun" in 1985 but nowerdays I want my sand of time to avoid the pit (or better still a rewind button Well I play games for fun not 50 attemts to get off the first stage just to have another 50 for subsequent stages / games in the series. I suppose you feel good at the end but I feel better not bothering in the first place

With EXE What are on? Like Exe 5 and the series was started about 20 minutes ago...

With Megaman its one game and youv'e seen them all (I don't care if trash man is now crap man or wolf man it still something you get a fairly poor "upgrade" for. An upgrade is not shooting forks insted of guns its higher jumping, more health)

So in the true character battle I would say Samus as won as Samus abilities have evolved (the nearest to evolving megaman has got are double jumps and melee attacks and a porta spring called Ruff). Metroid is what makes games great. Exploring landscapes and you never say its too cheap. If you die from lava its your fault, the game give you time to get out (unlike those pits on the first level and onwards of most M.Man games).

The exploration nature makes it special and the way there are features which you can I can't live without now,that is a sight of good use of new abilities.
These days you must have your tripple shells in Mario Kart, Link must have a musical instrument, Samus must have her wall jump and Megaman well, he hasn't changed in years. I mean all the game play is like it was 1989.

I don't need to refer to "Cross fusion" or "Giga crush" to win this battle. Unless i'm mistaken and this wasn't a battle of gameplay. If it was a character battle then "geek on". Let me start it off, ooh how about the nerveray as used by Motornurone man (wonder if anyone got that joke?).

On the topic of the lava/acid, Starwolf, you're right. Even that can't really destroy her, especially with the Gravity Suit (which, if anyone doesn't know, allows her to move faster than da fishies underwater and renders her invunerable to all substances except for acid). I'd like to see Mini Man attempt to pull one of his tricks underwater, or in the lava for that matter. He may have some fancy crap, but Samus is immune to many forms of energy. The most likely scenario she'd pull is with the Speed Booster. She'd boost to full speed, make a leap, and bust through Mini Man before he even realized she was there. Not to mention this renders her completely invunerable as well. So while Mini Man is charging up one of his attacks, he'll have to figure out both how to aim at a target moving so fast AND how exactly he's supposed to damage her when she's invunerable like that anyways (same with Screw Attack). She could easily tear him into a thousand pieces. Her power lies in her agility, just as it does with the Prince of Persia's. Even in SSB and SSBM, they programmed her so she's running all over the place. You can't HIT her, period. Samus has no weakness (except maybe Adam...)\

The sad thing is, Mini Man needs all those fancy computer upgrades in order to do anything to his enemies. All Samus needs is some good old fashioned missiles, bombs, a couple beams, and she's set. Of course, she does have Chozo technology in her favor...

...Did I mention that none of Mini Man's big-ass attacks would ever hit her, because she could just roll up into a tiny ball and avoid every one of them?

He could just kick her into submission, I think it would be quite funny.

And like I said before, no damn fancy weapons or upgrades! Thus Samus would only have the Power Beam and her Power suit, nothing else.

Oh and about saying MegaMan needs all the upgrades is stupid. He doesnt need the upgrades, I have beaten the originals without using any Robot Master weapons, or E-tanks. There are some bosses in Wilys castle that can only be hurt by one type of weapon so I had to use them at the momment, damn Capcom.

However, to get further in the Metroid Series you NEED to get the items to move on. So Samus relies on gadgets and upgrades more so than Megaman.

And on the note of the upgrades...Samus doesn't necessarily rely on them, it's just how the game was *DESIGNED*. Unlike Mini Man, the point of Metroid is not to see how many things you can blow up.

Err... when did this become a Samus V Megaman thread? Anyway to add fuel to the fire, Samus has never had a bad game before and made a smooth transition to 3D, so I say Samus would win a fight against Megaman... now Zero is a different story, Zero is just so cool. I'd say a tie between Zero and Samus. Anyway back to topic my favorite other than FE is soul Blazer series(Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and.... TERRANIGMA!!!) also Kirby, Romance Of The 3 Kingdoms, Harvest Moon, Metal Slug, R-type, Street Fighter, Mario RPG series(suck at the regular Mario games).
