Its still a game series so yes...
And I love the B-Man Bomberman! I'm still playing Atomic Bomberman to this day, Wario Blast still amuses me and Bomberman 64 was one of the best challenges I've ever played.

Other than FE, I like the Shining Force series... even though they're not very long, they are still fun, and similar to Fire Emblem.

The Ogre Battle Saga is, by far, my favorite series. Most of the OB games (particularly Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together and Ogre Battle 64) are actually very similar to FE games storyline-wise (political deceit, plot twists, plenty of characters, etc). If you like FE (and I'm assuming all of you do), definitely give Ogre Battle a shot. I'd recommend TO: LUCT (psx) the most to all of you, since it's one of the best SRPG's ever made. LUCT's storyline is simply outstanding, and its gameplay is very well-balanced. It has great replay value, too -- there are three branching paths (N - L - L, N - C - C, N - C -N) that feature totally different levles and will change based on the decisions you make during each chapter. And, after all is said and done, there's an optional 100-floor dungeon called the Hell Gate that you have to go through three times to fully complete. Between the three paths, there are around 250 battles in TO: LUCT. The gameplay is deep and challenging (though not on the same level as FE). There are multiple endings, too. I've beaten LUCT 3 times (one on each route). OB64 is my favorite game. I've beaten it seven times...it's just that good. The storyline and character development in this game are just amazing, and the gameplay, while different from the usual SRPG formula, is also excellent. It's difficult to explain what OB64's gameplay style is like, but if you've played OB: MOTBQ or OB64, you'll either love it or hate it. I just happen to love it. Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen is another great Ogre Battle. Its gameplay is much tougher and even better than OB64's, although there really isn't much in the way of storyline or character development. I've only beaten it once, but I still highly recommend it. Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis is perhaps the only blemish in the Ogre Battle Saga. It's much simpler and easier than the original TO, the storyline is virtually non-existant, and the characters have no personalities whatsoever. It's also very short...compared to the other OB games, this one sucks. Also of note -- Tactics Ogre: LUCT and the original Ogre Battle (March of the Black Queen) were both created by the mastermind behind Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and the upcoming FFXII -- Yasumi Matsuno. Tactics Ogre: LUCT is the predecessor to FFT, and I honestly think it's the better game. Indeed, I am an Ogre Battle Whore. If you ever have any questions regarding anything related to the OB universe, I'm the guy to ask.

Tactics Ogre: LUCT is also atrociously expensive. The used game chains sell it for over $40, and the retail price from Atlus is $80. eBay bids easily reach the 50s in price. Of course, judging from the knowledge of FE games on this board and the state of their translation--that is, mostly not translated--, I doubt most will have trouble playing the Japanese ROM (SNES) and understanding it.
I'm rather fond of the old school Konami action series, like Contra, Salamander, and Twinbee. I'm not a fan of Gradius or Castlevania, though.

Yuxman -- Is that really all that you got out of my post? Thanks for showing me the respect I deserve, buddy.
Gareth -- I bought LUCT from FuncoLand 2 Decembers ago for 35 dollars. And, while it may seem expensive on eBay, the ridiculously high prices are all for complete games. Seriously...who needs the instruction manual and the box, anyway? I'm not willing to pay an extra 20 + bucks just for a box and an instruction manual! Buying an incomplete copy would probably be your best bet if you don't already have one.
BTW, Gares (I guess it's Gareth in the PSX version) is cool, but his clones are just ****ing annoying. Zeteginea was such a pain in the ass.

Yes! I love Ogre Battle too! It's by far my second favorite SRPG series next to Fire Emblem (FE and OB happen to be my overall favorite game franchises, SRPG or not.) The original Tactics Ogre still stands as my favorite "Tactics"-style SRPG too. Unfortunately, now that Square-Enix owns the Ogre Battle series, who knows when we'll see the next one (and who knows what will happen to it?) By the way, MagiDrakee, why do you say the first Ogre Battle's gameplay is better than OB64's? Anyway, my other favorites are, in no particular order:
Soul Edge/Calibur Earthbound Monkey Island
Oh yeah, and Samus is better than Mega man!

I bought it around the same time for the same price. I checked it a few months ago while recommending it to a friend, and the price rose. This is not to mention that the game's probably backordered at Gamestop, with the only real hope of getting it from said chain lying in the stores near you carrying a copy.
It's still Gares in the PSX version. Gareth is the correct spelling of the Round Table knight after which Gares was named. Knight of the Kitchen was Gareth's epithet. His clones aren't all that tough, just expensive to defeat. I ended up deploying all 3 high knights and both generals in different units to hold him off. It worked rather well with muses backing them.

Yes! I Unfortunately, now that Square-Enix owns the Ogre Battle series, who knows when we'll see the next one (and who knows what will happen to it?) By the way, MagiDrakee, why do you say the first Ogre Battle's gameplay is better than OB64's? It's actually a good thing that Square-Enix bought the rights to the Ogre Battle Saga, since the series is now being reunited with Matsuno (director of MOTBQ, LUCT, FFT, etc). When he's done working on FFXII, it's pretty likely that he'll begin work on another Ogre game. I've also heard things about him working on a Vagrant Story sequel after FFXII, so I'm not exactly sure which game is really up next. As for MOTBQ's gameplay, I thought it was much more challenging, strategic, and fast-paced than OB64's. Sure, OB64 may have been a much deeper game, but it just isn't as fun to play as the original. And Gareth, cost was one of the main reasons why I thought the second-last stage in MOTBQ was so tough. At that point in the game, I was virtually broke -- I pissed away all of my goth on easy missions by dispatching Dragoons and Generals when I didn't even have to...that really came back to bite me in the ass by the end of the game. I played OB64 first, so I was used to using overpowered units.

Heh, don't use the dragoons so often. Deploy Fogel if you really need him. Leave the rest for emergencies. I had a lot of money at that point because my main firepower comes from muses behind paladins or eagle men. If I really needed some extra power, it's going to come from a lich flown by 4 phantoms that he recruits on the run. It's really cheap, those undead dudes.
Although I have to admit that I wasn't too well off financially after that stage. Buying revives to revive all the cherubim and seraphim that Gares killed got really expensive after a while.

I wouldn't really consider starfox a series. Weren't there like three games? Final fantasy gets my vote. And where is the castlevania series? (ahh the good old days of platforming).

Tie between Mario and Metroid. So I voted Mario, it was tough to decide(choosing Mario or other, for Metroid)
