I liked the turn-based battle system the most - I hated the ATB system of the previous games.
I also liked how it showed you the order of attacks in the corner, so you could plan out your actions better.

If I had to pick it would be the spear grids, but I'm not a fan of FF10 or FF10-2. I perfer the other ones (5-8, and Tactics)
