Well, it doesn't seem that way that much.  I think L/F is similar to R/S in the way that Metroid Zero Mission is to Fusion. |

I have Fire Red...As for Pikachu sucking, well yeah but have you ever given this to a Pikachu?
Pikachu Hold Light Ball Personality Timid Evs 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 6 HP.
Move Set:
Rain Dance
Hidden Power/Water
Thunder
ThunderWave
Light Ball is a Hold item that doubles Pikachu/Pichu special attack in battle. The Hidden Power Water is there to destroy the Ground Types Pikachu fights. Yeah Pikachu still sucks as it has mediocre Speed, and extremely low Defense/Special Defense.
Maybe Satoshi's Pikachu has 4 Light Balls?

Fire Red/Leaf Green are remakes of Pokemon Red/Green, but it has tons of new features. Pokedex data for all 386 Pokemon, catchable Gold/Silver Pokemon, move tutors, new moves, berries and alot more. Like all Pokemon games it comes in a set of two, and requires you to trade to complete your Pokedex.
It is only out in Japan right now but I imported it.
Oh yeah Fire Red/Leaf Green will be announced at this years E3.

Rumors: Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green will probably be released in North America by no later then September 2004. This is what I have heard from seribii.net .

Fire Red is already realesed and leaf green is out in Japanese.

They're both only in Japan.. It should be obvious as they are the equivalent to Pokemon Red, and Green it would make sense if they were both released at the same time no?
