Well....growing up on Pokemon and Zelda, Fire Emblem doesn't really have what I would consider overworld traveling (Sorry, just had to throw in my 2 cents).
But enough of that. Do you have Pokeomon Colleseum? I'm not sure when I'm going to get it. How is it?

I've heard the story mode was extremely linear. But I haven't played it yet.

Well all I can say about the story mode in Pokemon Colloseum is that its mainly used to get Pokemon that were unobtainable in Ruby, and Sapphire and adding them to those games. It is very linear(like most Pokemon games) and it is pretty short RPG standard wise(about 25-30 hours)
It's like a string of battles set in an RPG like setting.

Now Pokemon is still cool now! ^_^ I play it alot. The only think I don't like is the anime. because people make fun of me when I draw because the automatically think of the pokemon cartoon and start to make fun of me. ^_^;;;
