I just couldn't help noticing....
But Amid and Linda, the substitute characters for Tinny and Arthur. I was looking at the Friedge genealogy and noticed that Amid and Linda are actually listed as main descendants fo the Friedge timeline.
Now I was wondering whether or not this was mentioned in the game as according to it Linda and Amid were born to Tinny's sister Ethnia who also has a portrait.
It just seems strange because the only 2nd generation characters who get listed are the fixed ones like Celice, Shannan and Oifaye.
It just seems somewhat strange that both Tinny and Arthur AND Linda and Amid were also listed as cousins...so wheres Ethnia?

Thats what I'm asking when does Ethnia appear?
At least Grayhne was mentioned as Eltoshan's wife but I don't recall a mentioning of Ethnia at any time through the first generation. As according to the genealogy, Linda and Amid DO exist and aren't just subs.

Hmm... This may seem odd, but I actually think that Ethnia is mentioned in FE5. I can't remember if it happens more than once, but I'm sure Leaf talks about her pre-Chapter 22, just before you start the level.
I can't remember what was said, and moreso, someone needs to check this for me...

Pre-Chapter 22? I'll try get a savestate of that sometimes..... Because I'd really like to know how Ethnia, Linda and Amid come into this all. Random note: Tordo looks like a cross between Beowulf and Felgus  |

Amid: Yeah, apparently her name was Tiltyu.
OK i've adapted a bit slightly (we didn't want tailto and ziglud after all). Basically in the timeline Amid and linda come from Tiltyu died in action and Ethnia being so close to her sister took Tiltyus place in Sigurds army.

And thanx....
I never used the substitute characters so it makes sense why I never knew who Ethnia was......and it makes it clear Tiltyu was one of the people definitely killed in action since its hinted upon by Arthur but not clear whether it was after or during.
But still would this mean that despite fighting on the same side that Amid and his sister never met Arthur and his sister?
But its clear it can't be a different storyline since they were definitely existing at the same time.
On a random note:
Marricle is the spitting image of Odo......*_*

Ethnia's picture was in the Fire Emblem Treasure. So was Victor, Cigyun, Mananan, and Marricle. And let's not forget Grahnye.

I could have sworn that there was some conversation that made it absolutely sure that Tiltyu did survive but died later...something about being forced into Blume's family. Could be wrong though...I haven't cleared that chapter in 1 and a half years because my goal is to play a perfect game with no loss of parents in gen1 or children in gen2 (without resetting of course, and reviving with the staff is fine). The best I've ever done was up to that chapter and then I forgot to move Leif's group and Nanna got killed =(.

I think all the subs exist. It's just that your mains outshines them in their natural habitat if they exist. Like Asaelo, his parents are some poor hunters in the area who got caught in the war and died. IF Faval was also in the area with his oh-so-mighty Ichieval, you think Asaelo would've gotten a chance to shine? I think not.
The reason Amid might have never met Arthur could be because....Ethnia wouldn't have gone to Silesia if Tiltyu went there first? If that somehow happened, it's likely that they'd be in Freege somewhere, not a major enough player in the 'game' to appear, but they would've existed somewhere.

Hilda murdered Tiltyu. Hilda is the only kill craze evil person in the Freege family though. She's Alvis' sister.
