A sprite sheet is the different frames of an animation, which is pretty much the different movements of the animation which puts it into motion.

so pretty much if someone gives you this, all you need to do is take the pretty pictures and put them in motion? eh?

In my view, a sprite sheet is a single graphic file that has all frames of an animation in it. That is probably what aPeXFUBAR said though. Anyway, when you have a sheet, all you do is copy and paste into your own seperate frames. Then you can animate, although you probably know that already

That's easy... I found a way to do it quickly on Paint, and it works usually... and if they move quickly, you really can't tell is everything is perfect anyway...

NO! Muwahahahahahahahaha...
Ok, make a new file for each sprite you want. Get the position of the character you want, then save the first frame as "01." Then, copy and paste the next frame from the sprite sheet and paste it over the first one, then pick "Save As" and save it is "02"- the other one will still be saved as "01." Then continue until you're done with the whole sheet, run ti through the animator, and you're done!

Yeah, that's what I do too. First paste with a transparent background to easily get the position exactly right, then turn off the transparency to get rid of the old frame. Works great, although it does get more complicated when doing multiple characters at the same time, like in my tri-attacks.

Meh, that's why I usually make single sprites. that's why my Swordmaster Pentagon took so long, cuz I had to keep goinf back and forth, pasting and repasting...
