How do you rip things out of the ROM?

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how they managed to rip out .png files out of there ROM so perfectly I'm intrested in ripping out Idenn/Idouns portrait for some avatar along with serveral other characters. SO I was wondering just how did some of you manage to do it?

I don't believe that anyone's actually ripped any pictures out of the ROM (except possibly Iggy...), they all just use screen dumps, as far as I'm aware.

Very easy. All you need to do is remove all the unnecessary layer you don't need by disabling them in the emu you use. I made hundreds of rips a long time ago but had them all removed due to sacrifice. >< I had almost all the portraits in the game but lost them all due to file deletion. I plan on reripping those portraits again. hmmm... here's a sprite sheet for Idenn's portrait. ^^ hope you like it.

and BTW, don't ask me for any roms.

uhhh... can you give me a more detailed description like hair color and stuff? Sorry... I'm not that too familiar with most of the FE6 since the game is in japanese. ^^
