You're out of your mind. Lakche >>> Shannan. His stats are awful.

Actually, I prefer Shannan over Lakche. Sure Lakche is a powerhouse, but Shannan isn't THAT bad statwise. Problem is that his starting stats are good, but his growth isn't that impressive. Though my Shannan was really rocking the house...
Oh yeah, and Lead Brick > Delmud
And Ares >>> Alec and Noish, for many reasons that are just too obvious to explain

Why do people hate Delmud so much? Even with Beowulf as his father, Delmud always end up kicking lots of butt.

With Fin as father Delmud has 10% less strength growth, but even then it's not hard to max his strength. Fin has insane luck growth so his kids gets even more luck.

I'm currently trying Finn/Lachesis (couple done, but haven't got the kids yet), but...
From the 3 guys I gave to Lachesis, i'm wondering if Azel is not better than Beowulf (Lex is the third one)...
Cos with the Hezul/Fala Blood bonuses combination, even if Azel has low strength, it's easy to max out BOTH Strength and Magic.
The use of this ? Well, if you give Delmudd a Magic Ring and a 70-Kill Wind Sword, you've got an excellent mage substitue (on horse, don't forget it !) and excellent physical attacker in one. And don't forget that Nanna will FINALLY become a top-notch healer, thanks to the Magic boost...
The only downside of this couple is the little lack of Skills, but I think Pursuit is the strict minimum in combat skills, and Delmudd has Continue as a Class Skill (and w/ a +70-Kill Wind Sword, he criticals a lot...).
Apart from the skill stat, the stats are good with this pairing (and evasion is darn good, since they benefit from the 50% stat growth from Azel). Even the Defense was maxed out for both children, but maybe I was lucky...
Believe me, seeing Delmudd fending off entire armies with his Wind Sword in this couple made think twice about the so-called unusefulness of Delmudd... No. If given the right parent, Delmudd IS a pretty good character. Surely not as good as Celice, Ares and Lakche, but still PRETTY good.

Heh yeah.
Once I tried Jamuka and Laches.
It was Strength overkill @.@
The skill suffered a bit, but the bonus from the class change made it all better. The same probably happens with Azel as the father too, as I don't think Azel has nice skill growth. Jamuka as the father was pretty nice though...
