The most effective way to use Marcus.

As soon as you get him take away his silver spear and iron sword and give them to other charecters. Then send him into the middle of the battle field. Whenever they attack him he gets 1XP and you don't risk a weak charecter getting hurt that way you can pound them with other charecters. I find he can be pretty effective when you just throw him in the middle of all the fighting with no weapons.

Ack, why didn't I think of that. I did a similar trick with the armors but I never thought of using Marcus that way. Great tip Megaman.

You only just realised? Thats how I use all my Jeigans (or people on max level). I thought it was commen knowledge so I didn't say. Still a great tip.

i do that all the time....
he's always the one to visit the villages and carry around weapons for other units....
for the first few chapters anyway...

I used Marcus to ferry around items and weapons, but I never thought of using him that way. *smacks self*

In the early chapters, it's almost impossible for normal grunts to land a hit on a Jeigan. =P

Yeah, I always made Marcus visit the shops and carry weapons for others. I don't think I've used him once to battle in FE7. =P

Of course, in both games, I ditched Marcus as soon as I was able to.

Well yeah I use Marcus to visit shops and stuff too. What I mean is I never thought of unequiping him even though I do that for guys like Wallace or other Armors. I do that with Wendy mainly because she's already maxed out so no need to worry. Just let hear draw in the enemies and let the weaker guys take them down.

I try to use Marcus only for the first bosses who are too strong for the other character, don't waste exp !!!

We don't even use him for killing basic enemies let alone bosses. Hes just a fast shield unit. Of course I withdrew him if he gets too beat up. Its a redesign of my Jeigan stratagies. I recomend the Iron sword goes to the the Lord (there are never Knights on the first maps Rapiers should be used against knights only). In the Earlier fes The Silver spear went on a peagasus knight (so they could do damage). Course, can't do that anymore (no more weapon level stat).

OMG...and finally i see why people are having problems...you NEVER thought about doing that? jeez!

Marcus abuse! It won't work on hard mode even with trees. Maybe the FE7 one but not the FE6 Marcus.
