since roy is Eliwood's son and hes quite young i doubt Eliwood would be dead unless by someone... do we get to know who Roy's mother is or not? Or this game doesnt touch anything on roy's parents or any characters from FE7?

well both are in the story and playable as hidden characters....
but .....
one is very ill and the other got killed during the game....

do we know the descendents of some of the characters from FE&? like sain's kids, Lyn's etc. Also, do we know who Roy's mother is? i guess prob either Ninian or fiora?

No you can't know that, or you can't make the couples in FE7..... It's at you to create and imagine who can be the parents of someone...... And for Eliwod and Hector in the story, this can be a spoil so if you don't want to read, you can: Oh yeah, and there are their faces ^^     |

ok.. are there couplings in this game? i know there are supports but not sure if there are couplings. also does this game continue FE 1/2 or is still before that since roy was in FE1 i believe. Maybe the couples are default in this game?

Actually, Marth's only in 1 and 3. 2 had Alm, 4 had Sigurd, 5 had Leaf, 6 had Roy, and 7 had Eliwood.
1&3 share a lot of the same characters, and some (very few) from 1&3 appear in FE2... but other than that, they appear no where else.
Some characters are shared between FE4&5 and no where else.
Some characters are shared between FE6&7 and no where else.
So that means... Roy isn't in FEs 1-5. And as KS said... yeah, there is support in FE6 =P

We know the descendants of SOME characters, the obvious being who Hector's and Eliwood's kids are. Lots of FE7 characters have kids in FE6, like Pant and Louise having Clarine and Klein, Nino having Lugh and Rei, Hawkeye having Igrene, Canas having Hugh....
Kinda annoys me that only Roy pairs up in the end. There's so much I'd do to FE6 to update it to be more like FE7. Like MORE INTERESTING SUPPORTS. :P And there's a lot of scenes I'd give FE7-style CG's to, like Hector's scene.

Roy can pair up with Lilina, Sue, or Sophia, or I think Thany.
Fa doesn't have very many supports... but I don't think any of them are Roy...
