I'm well aware that you were intending to call him a rock (albiet I don't understand how that's especially insulting), I was just saying that the way it was phrased sounded opposite to the intended meaning.

Hey, maybe that's the reasoning behind 'The' Rock's name.
Well, you've got me there... I can't remember the last time I called anybody a rock meaning that they were intelligent. Of course, I can't remember the last time I called someone a rock for any reason.
