It would have been cooler if they made Yan into a different kind of dragon like say... EARTH DRAGON!!! Elibe needs Earth Dragons.

But I thought the Dark Dragon was the Earth Dragon?
You know like how Lopotousu was the Dark Earth Dragon Lopotousu.

Dark dragon and Earth dragon are totally different things...
i think any type of dragon can become DARK
(holy dragon -> dark dragon, earth dragon-> dark dragon) but not all dark dragons are Earth dragon......
OK i dont' think i know what i'm talking about.....

Makes sense to me.
Any dragon can become a dark dragon, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Earth dragons are dark dragons and vice versa.... right?

Your pretty right since Idoun is a Light Dragon.....
Its just all previous Dark Dragons have been associated with Earth.

Only FE1 had him as an Earth Dragon. Medeus was a Dark Dragon in FE3. As I recall, it is said that Medeus was not fully revived yet so he took the body of an Earth Dragon. His true form is the Dark Dragon at the end of FE3.
