I wouldn't hold my breath for FE8 being a remake of FE6. It's too early. The game's only been out for 2 years.

The Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time was re-released in a promotion disk on the GCN in Feb. last year. About 6 - 8 months later it is released once again in The Collector's Edition Disk with MM, the original, and AoL.
There is still hope for FE6.
