I just lost the pegasus knight you get in chapter 2. Is she good? I couldn't get to level her up all that easily but that usually means she's good. I leveled her up to level 2 and she didn't seem to have impressive gains to me.

I have no idea who you're talking about but you know, one level doesn't mean anything...even the best characters have off days.
Usually if i lose somebody, i just restart the chapter. If she started at level 1 she's bound to be not that bad.

Thany's not great? Well I guess her attack may not be great but everything else is.
Also Thany can talk to Tate but only Klein can recruit her (you don't need to talk with Thany beforehand). OK Tate is great.

Thanny isn't that good, her only use is recruiting Tate who easily surpasses her. Don't forget the Triangle Attack. |

Uh oh this is the 1 FE where I might want to miss out on that legendary attack (Yuuno is pretty awful and I'd rather have someone more useful filling her space!)

I used it in one chapter. However, the only Pegasus Knight I kept was Tate, after all.

I tend to not use flying units in FE6/7. Too scared of ballistae and archers.  |

Units that can't do damage aren't useful. Tate's your best bet for a Pegasus Knight. However, you should restart if you lose ANYONE, especially a specialized unit like a flyer (you'll need them in later chapters, especially Chap. 14).

HA HA HA HA I am so obssessed with the flying units in FE6/7 that they become almost invulnerable to archers- dragons take very little damage and pegasi never get hit!
EDIT: Flying that can't attack- you don't mean Thany do you? She's great!
EDIT: She maxes skill, speed, and luck on my games and attack if I'm lucky (must be my RNG)!
