Well I actually ened up using Clarine and I think she is turning out great.. Uh.. here are her stats so far.
Lvl 20/7
30 HP
18 Magic
15 Skill
22 Speed
27 Luck
7 Def
22 Res
BTW, should I use Rei/Ray or Sofia? Or should I just use them both lol.

That depends. Sofia has better potential in just about everything except HP, but she can be hard to work with, especially since you get to start using her effectivly in the desert level. I personally don't mind doing the work, but you might not have the patience.
Rei is still a capable unit, though.

Ray is far better than Sophia.
Ray: Good HP, magic, skill, speed, and decent resistance. Luck and defense sucks.
Sophia: Great HP, magic, and resistance. Only decent skill and speed. Luck and defense also sucks but have better potential than Ray.
So far, it look like Ray is more well-rounded.

Rei Just has low skill. Of course Sophia is a lot of work to train.

I always ended up with good skill with Ray and his growth rate in skill also shows that it's good. All well... As for Sophia, don't use her until chapter 17 and then arena abuse her (with protection of course) and viola, you've got an awesome Sophia (I always backup hard-to-train characters with arena abuse for some reason  .) |
