Well, Im only on chapter 4 right now but I have some questions or dillemas... Should I use Lugh? Or should I just stop training him when I get Lilina or use both? Because my Lugh is lvl 8 right now... Should I use Clarine or Ellen? And are Cavaliers really worth training for? =x Ok, Im finished! BTW, this is my first post!  |

Lugh and Lilinia seem to cap out around the same in stats, but I would have to say Lugh is better so yes, use him. Um I find using one of them works good, they both have similar stat growths, cept as in all fire emblems, cept 7 the red knight is stronger and slower and the green is faster and weaker. Clarine can ride a horse making her a little more useful, and her magic growth is about the same as ellen's so if you are only going to use one of them use clarine.

Lilina has insane power, but her other stats are so-so. Lugh is more balanced. Mages/Sages are quite useful, I use them both.
Ellen and Clarine... well, I use both as well. If you have to choose one, prefer the one who got the best stats.
Cavaliers, when promoted, can use all weapons of the weapon triangle (sword/spear/axe). And, as you can get any number of "S" ranks... they can prove quite versatile. I used Lance and Alen.

I usually raise both Clarine and Ellen (and sometimes, even Saul) to level 20, and then promote whichever has the best stats. You can do this by abusing the fire in chapter 8x.

I personally use Lance and Allen, Lugh and Clarine. But I'm not happy with my Clarine....she's 20/1 on Chapter 10 and only has about 11 Magic power.

Lance
Dieck
Tiet
Miledy
Clarine
Fil
Rei
Hugh
Gonzales
And sometimes, Ellen and/or Saul.

Lillina gets support with Oujay, Barth, Wendy and Roy.....
Well actually I'm not sure about Oujay....
Lugh gets support with Chad, Rei although I think he might have one with Hugh and Niime as well.
In the end I use neither Lillina or Lugh I use Hugh instead, Lugh is good and all but he's too fragile, Hugh ahs the power, speed and can take a beating as well he's way more rounded.
I use different characters but these ones are always in my team.

-I suggest using Lugh, I've used Lilina once and with the exception of magic she stunk. I've used Lugh in two other games and so far hes been godly.
-Use both. Clarine is amazing after promotion and Ellen puts Saul and Yoder to shame.
-I don't really use Social Knights early on. I generally wait until Chapter 13/15 and use Percivel...yes, I said I used a pre-promo!;D Then again I'm only thinking of Hard Mode stats for Percivel, without them he's not nearly as good.

Oh yeah Percival IS better in hard mode but not by that much!
